You know a lot of Beast Master pvp'ers I take it?
I'll bring a cookie for you next time you invalidate one of my observations of my own past experience with such a comeback.
Incase you did not realise, I had to pvp enough to be able to obtain that bow ontop of the fact I am in an rp-pvp server.
Secondly, if you think it wont throw off a three second aimed shot cast time to be nailed with a rate of fire of .81 seconds while said Beast Master's wrathed pig is rooting around up your hiney then I can not say I am phased by what you will put stock into.
In either event, you missed my point. I merely want to see another reason why speed is not good for a hunter.

      Stroke your epeen much?

Yes, I do know BM spec'd pvp'ers.  2 on my arena team and another 2 that are in my guild.  And, o yeah, me.  I'm 4 weeks out from the Merciless Gladiator Xbow, 2 weeks if I go with the season 1 xbow.  I've got the season 1 Shoulders and Gloves from the Glad pursuit set.  In case you didn't know you have to pvp in the arenas to get those.  I might have been able to obtain another piece or even the season 1 xbow by now but I didn't start arena'ing until mid-April.  BTW I'm also 20 EOS marks and about 5k honor away from my Veteran's Chain Sabatons.  I don't consider myself an elite pvp'er by any means and our arena team is in the middle of the pack.  So you'll have to excuse me if I'm not entirely awestruck with your lvl 60 bow and quiver.

A little tidbit for you: Any hunter who is trying to cast aimed shot or steady shot while directly engaged is a dumber than a sack of rocks.  Grats on downing some scrub MM.

You said you came here looking for points on why speed isn't good for a hunter.  No you didn't, you came here to argue and flex your l33t-ness.  Why else would you respond to a post about PVE raiding and how shot rotation plus this weapon's speed gimps DPS WHEN AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT STRATEGY IS USED FOR PVP. I scarcely touched on pvp except to suggest something with higher top end damage.

PVP and PVE = not same.  Read for content.

          POST#4:

First don't assume anything that I haven't written.

          1. My initial post was not about pvp. Only the first paragraph touches on pvp.  This is where you failed to pick up (and in other posts as well) that the second paragraph speaks to pve, which is the main point of my post - the DPS/mechanics of a hunter working this weapon.

          2. I said pvp is a different strategy.  feel free to quote my text where I said speed is good for pvp.  Top end damage/burst damage is what i said. That's basically getting your instant shots fired off when GCDs are up.  That is not a shot rotation.  Yep, here I am playing with a slow attack speed wpn. You know what?, my instant shots aren't interrupted and they're dishing out more dmg than a quick weapon.  Isn't that crazy?

Take your smarm somewhere else Jr.  If you've looked around you're the only one who didn't get it after not 1, not 2 but 3 posts.

I'm done trying to spell it out for you.  You want reads on arguments against weapon speed go to the World of Warcraft Hunter Forums

Ok know it all... you must not be a math major. in pvp you want to do the most amount of damage possible in the shortest amount of time. This weapon fires at about 1per sec for a BM and if you dont have junk for gear your crit % should be at minimum 25%. lets do some math: 25%crit @ 1 shot per sec and kill command at every crit.. HHMM. Not to mention that any caster class is gonna have serious problems getting a spell off when between you and your pet you are hitting at least 2 times per second. OOHH and if your a serius pvper you would also take into account that people know your a hunter and rush you to stay out of your ranged damage. This weapons speed helps make that ineffective by getting 3 to 4 shots in before they get to you and by getting quick shots off when you snare/trap and jump away. You are right that this is not a PVE weapon if you want to avoid agro but for PVP i would rahter have nothing else.

              A REAL HUNTER

being a MM hunter, i know the details on how to pull some shot rotations in PvP since thats what this chain appears to be about.

SO, IF AND ONLY IF the enemy hasnt noticed you and you can safely get off a big opener. THAN try an Aimed shot.

than i follow up with 2 instant shots (Multi and Arcane)

wait for an auto shot to go off

          sting the opponent

          steady shot

          auto...

          rinse and repeat stemps 2-5

opponent should be dead by 1-2 rounds of this.

just my 2c on how a Marksman works the PVP action
