Used the ramp technique, worked perfectly. Only needed the one spawn of him to complete the quest.
Problem is it took 39 clefthoofs, about 50 drinks, and about an hour and a half to get the right mob to spawn. Yes i should in hindsight have run down the ramp when the wrong mobs spawned, seeing as they provide neither XP nor loot.
Anyway, my kill log has 39 decrepit clefthoofs on it now, from that one quest. All for a dagger i probably won't equip.
I think it's fair to say that the spawn chance of the boss mob needs some buffing.
