    True, but realize this...

As a Protection Paladin, i currently have 63% chance to block while Holy Shield is up.  If redoubt procs that is a 93% chance to block frigging righteous!  I was tanking Prince Malchezzar tonight, which is probably the best candidate to use the charges being he dual wields.  Well...  I actually never got below 3 charges left in that 10 seconds it was up.  This being my Dodge (20%) and Parry(17%).

So dont be worried about running out of charges, just focus on keeping this up at all times.  I think we at least have it better than warriors, being this is a 10 second cast.  We can actually do other abilities in between casting this.

BTW the threat generation as well rocked.  Just getting into the 3rd phase, i was at 125k.  Second on the list was 75K threat and a rogue.  Pretty nice.

Old discussion. Paladins are valid Tanks in any situation just as Warriors post BC. Some situations are better for Warriors/Druids, some for Paladins. That's a fact.

Though any can master ANY MT position if played and geared right.

Warriors have one or two more dmg migration skills and usually around 1000 more hp, but therefore Paladins can reach Uncrushable a little better due to Holy Shield. (making a properly equipped Paladin uncrushable as long as there are no more than 8 hits within 10 sec. opposed to the Warrior's Shield Block that makes the Warrior uncrush only for max. 2 Hits within 5 seconds, which can happen quite often especially if one attack is parried)

Also it is not just AOE Tanking with the Paladin. A Paladin mostly outthreats a Warrior therefore making a high DPS group more potent than a compared Warrior in his position.

Bosses as the Maiden are not exclusively, but better Tankable by a Warrior simply due to the silence effect that lowers the Paladin's threat generation. Also all sort of Spell-Shielded Mobs/Bosses are better Tanked by other classes.

Everyone got advantages and disadvantages in tanking, but all CAN MT in ANY Tanking encounter. Assuming anything else is ignorance and imo a little sign of inferiority complex if you do not want to be out of the spotlight if the situation calls for it.

In my Karazhan raid, we keep switching between MTing/OTing having a great team of a Warrior Tank and Paladin Tank (me). E.g. I would Tank Attumen&Midnight together and he would contribute a little DMG with some off gear. Then at the Maiden, I would decurse and throw in emergency heals and save people's asses with LOH if necessary while he would Tank. Also, e.g. I would Tank the Curator as my DMG output is quite nice (for a Tank) when tanking, and this shortens the fight a little. Sharing the spotlight is the key! Teamwork, people! Learn that!

Not that it would really matter, but as a side Note: Remember that Voidwalker Creature in the Nagrand Arena that, certainly, you were often asked by guildies to tank for them? It is 100% immune to holy type damage...now...i would really love to see a Paladin tank that even against a lvl60 Rogue. :)

          ....without speccing Retribution.

...and just to make it fair: I would also love to see a Warrior/Druid tank the Morogrim Murlocs (without 10 Minute CDs).

All I wanted to say is that the "Paladins are AoE tanks"-argument is not all that wrong.

Bollocks mate, a well geared palatank owns warriors, as they can (if the player knows wtf they are doing) garner massive threat on single targets, and do the AoE tanking, I know, Ive got both.

Of course I know that, Buddy ;-)... I just wanted to speak for all tanking classes without insulting any. Warriors are atm very scared of the competition as they are not the only one capable of tanking so as for my expierience they are in generall very pissed at Paladins and Druids for now filling their Tanking spot that was exlusive for them in Endgame pre-BC.

I did not see any druids or priests complaining and spamming around that all other classes can't heal when e.g. Shamans came onto the Alliance side or Paladins onto the Horde's side, both being EXCELLENT and in some cases superior to Druid or Priest healers.

Apparently a lot of people playing Warrior Tanks are of a "special" Breed ;-). No offense, guys.... I am working with an excellent Warrior together in Karazhan. Pally/Warrior make a great Team in Raids!

Yea, warriors are just TERRIFIED of your stupid ass. Not only that, we're just FURIOUS at dins and druids for screwing us over! Dude, what kind of idiot are you? I don't know, but keep it to yourself. You presume to speak for a class that is not your own? You should consider removing your flanges to dissuade yourself from ever speaking out on the internet again.

inteligent comment there mate, i can see how you would really add  to a discussion.  Everyone is titled to their opinion, I think it is you who should stay out of internet chat.

Personally i think pallies are the most versitile tanks, as they can basically tank everything, but if i was in a guild run i would be getting the warriors to single target tank, so they actually get something to do :P
