I used a 70 rogue alt to farm tons of Sporeggar rep items so my prot pally could get this as soon as he turned 62. So I got a lot of bog lord tendrils and mature spore sacs to get me to friendly.  Then I did some stealth runs through Underbog for sanguine hibiscus (its really easy, hes not even stealth specced and get gets about 15 per run through, which doesnt take long per run).  Unfortunetly I found out that you cant turn in sanguine hibiscus for rep till you are 63, since the turn in NPC has the grey ! above his head.

Anyway, I just thought it was a little odd that the shield is level 62, but the only things you can do to get the 6000 rep needed to go from friendly to honored at 62 are...

1) Kill bog lords for 15 rep per kill, so you would need to kill a total of 400.

2) Do the fertile spores repeatable quest, in which you turn in 10 spores for 750, but they only have about a 1/3 drop rate, so you would need to kill around 240 greater spore bats.

3) Do the naga killing repeatable quest, in which you kill 24 naga for 750 rep, so you would need to kill 192.

So unless you consider going through the above grinds worthwhile, ignore the item description that says "Requires Level 62", its really 63.

Sigh, guess I gotta wait one more level to get my "best prot pally AOE grinding shield in the game" shield. I've even already got the mats for a felsteel shield spike.
