Well let this be the first :D

They are a bitch to find but if you get the addon "gather" it will make finding them a second time alot easier.

Have only found one, i turned it in was looking at the picture of the island, seems there everywhere, or that everything is supposed too drop them, good luck lemme knnow if there is a certain type of beast too kill for these

Does anyone have a rough estimate on respawn time? It would be spiffy cool to keep something like that in mind while hunting them.

flayers, random in the mine, youtube has vids, exc

i found 2 spawn points in depths of mine. and also 2 of them dropped from netherwing rays so far

They have spawn points, they also spawn in the dragonmaw village with 9 spawn points. Inside the mine they have alot of spawn points. Sometimes randomly on the ground, in carts where the cargo spawns, inside mining ores. They also drop of any mob inside mine / island. I have a rec of 25 a day but aiming for 50 today. Currently down to 43/50 so not as much left, and since no ppl are on after 12-2am I will easily get it. GL hunting

When you see a egg grab it fast, Blizzard made it so you cant collect them while in battle so anyone can come steal it while your fightin Mob for it, thx Blizzard :p

That's really uncooth and it happens a lot doesn't matter what the prize is your after they'll steal it if they can. They shouldn't be allowed to keep doing it they should have something in place to keep it frmo happening.

The only type of eggs that you can for this quest is the ones from SMV. So, the one's in Blade's Edge, are not usable for this : \ would be awesome though.

Also, I did find one egg that was not on the Netherwing Ledge. It was in a node in the Dragonmaw Fortress.

I would like to know the spawntime, it seems that when u find 1 or 2 eggs it takes about an hour before i see them again somewhere else. Any1 know the approximately respawn time? like 1,2,3 hours?

Ok here's your info-
There are about 100 different spawn points, all over the ledge in the fortress and in the mine.
The eggs can be dropped from anything hostile... usually in the mine.
The spawn time for each egg is random> I collected one egg once and it spawned again 1 second later.

>Edit<: Update. With more characters at 80 I've decided to farm on all of them and have found a couple more things that I forgot to mention previously. Eggs can be collected from nethercite deposits and netherdust bushes and the droprate off creatures has increased with patch 3.0.3 to about 3%. Again the way I got it on my alts was mainly the route shown in the video I posted above. Good Luck to all of you.

>Edit 2<: SPAWN INFO: Blizzard made a system where there is always a certain number of eggs in the area, meaning if there are 15 eggs always spawned, and people collect 2, 2 more will spawn elsewhere, or in the situation I had a year ago, I collected one and someone most likely collected one right after causing another to spawn right in front of me. They don't appear to be time based spawns, rather "come and find me and I'll show up somewhere else" spawns.

So far I haven't noticed any anywhere other than random spawn points on the island, and of course at the fortress on the mainland. I've not found one off of any beast, and you have to kill quite a few flayers for a quest, there is also a one time quest from a guy who asks you to kill miners in the same general area as the flayers. I haven't figured out a spawn time yet, but I have noticed when I go away from an area and then come back to the same area later, an egg will be sitting somewhere there, so they do spawn quite a bit. gatherer is a good addon to have, it's helped me remember all the places I've found eggs at so I can retrieve them again. I highly suggest getting it so you can knock this rep out.

I find them in the mines a lot, they drop a lot and they're just sitting around a lot, but when i go to the surface level i never find any.

where is that damn mine? i cannot find it.

I got one off the flayers and one from a miner. Only found one at Dragonmaw Fortress. I find them in the mine and around the lsland there. (whatever it's called) One day I got aleast 20 and the next day 3/4 so it's totally random and it depends on how many other ppl are farming them.
Someone told me you can get them from the Nethercite ore but I have not found this to be true thus far.

Real easy now at 80, farming rep. Use the path followed by that video, and there will be hardly anyone (depends on server and faction) farming for the rep nowadays

From the video posted, I've only found one. All the other spots, nothing. I found like three in the mine and one dropped off a mob in the mine. I found one near one of those elite mobs where the crystals are at. That's about it but I'm not the only one there. =-/

this in the video linked by Xmorpher, i followed it through once and got 6 eggs, just keep doing this till you cant hand in the eggs anymore GL!! 19000/21000 (almost there! :D)

Up to now I have not found any from mobs or from mining.
But that video showed me that there are some outside the mine!
