Anyone have opinions on the best 1v1 class? I say druid, at lvl 70 if your a ferl druid thers only 1 class that can beat you and thats a warlock, as for warlocks they can lose to fury warriors, hunters, possibly more. Any other opinions?

It being my main, i would love to say warlock, but your damn right. Warriors just hamstring us and slap us to the ground, except maybe if i am demonologly, but i am affliction. Even with m prefered pet agaisnt warriors, Succubus, they seem t become immune to seduction for me to bandage. And as for Hunters, i have only ever beaten a hunter twice..once because he was a complete and utter NUB, and the second because i used a health pot and Healthstone, and i had my infernal. I need to face hunters more often to find out more ways of beating them, perhaps exploit their blind spot a bit better, although i find doing that quite hard when slowed by one of their traps or concussive shot. Its annoying because arrows are so simple - not classed as spell, so i cant use my felhunter to spell lock, or stop their casting with death coil. Not much i can think of, except instand Howl of terroring their pet, and dying.

I would love to say fury warrior's as that is my main .. but all classes have their own advantages.. i think it comes down to the players skill at the end of the day armour ect

I'd say fury war, but i have seen a resto shammy dominate lots of classes due to survivability.

my main is a MS War and i won against very well geared players with more than 50% HP , just because they didnt play well ...

most battles against equal skilled and geared players are too close to say which class is the best ... sometimes you win because you crit in the right moment or something procs to your advantage ... sometimes you lose

imo, the pvp system is quite balanced ... so you will always find someone who beats you

My main is a 5/21/35 Hunter, and I will say the best 1v1 class in the game , would be a frost mage, they got so many panic buttons against every class. A very good frost mage  can take any other class.

I also say MS warriors are very good. But warriors are so gear dependant, that without as many epics as the opponent, it can be hard to take them down.

When i play ab/wsg i always runs away from the warriors because i know i cant beat them ;).

AS a couple of people have stated, MS warrior's are really good in 1 vs. 1 PvP. I like the fact that MS warrior's deals a pretty good load of damage, and with that amount of armor that warriors have / will have at level 70, they will be able to reduce a pretty good amount of damage from other classes. Talking about melee / ranged damage now. When it comes to casters vs. warriors, there is basic things to think about...

Vs /priest's / warlocks: Berserker stance for fear resistance.

Vs. Mages: Here is hamstring really nessesary, 'cause if it's a frost mage, they'll just slow you and play with you. even though fire mages will be able to run around with you like f you where their tail too...

Vs. Rogues: Thunder Clap might be usefull, since it lowers their attack speed...

Vs. Shamans: Hmm, never thought abut fighting these suckers.. They mostly turn up in resto specc, and just stay feeted and heal them self...

Vs. Paladins: If these loladins/bubbledins shield their self, remebmber to use a little bandage aid.

Vs. Hunters: Slow 'em down, since their melee ability's aren't even close to the warrior ability's.

I don't think you all will agree with this, but this is atleast my point of view.

This isn't the place for that kind of banter. But in my opinion, my arcane/fire mage does 10k pyro crits, so I'd have to side with good ol' insta-kill (maybe two shots for those 14k health unbuffed warriors) over the lengthy and perhaps even disappointing scenarios.

MS warrior is okay for most situations and pretty much can take any melee class other then feral druid, and a good percentage of casters but i would have to  say, that a good rogue can take any class in the entire game, yes thats MS warriors too. I kill anyone with atleast the same gear with np as a cb evis stunlocking build, 20/0/41. Mages I just garrote and then dps away when they blink just vanish garotte blah blah blah, any other class is straight foward, kick the shit out of and then pvp trink or CoS if needed. Warriors are easily doable if you have tons of pvp experience and have very fast reflexes, you pretty much stunlock and then stay about 5-8 feet away so that way you can't get melee'd or intercepted, as  a good rogue you never want them to get hamstring off, try to keep them stunned as much as poss and then just pound away, vanish if needed. As a rogue you are dependant on tons of skill and a good mh, me, a full glad s1 and s2 rogue, has learned how to fight ms warriors the hardway, for dueling them till my eyes bleeded.

My first toon to hit 70 was a feral druid, they are great but i rerolled horde and a 70 BM hunter 18 sec is all they need. Beastal Rath is op.

Id say MS warriors... high health, high armor, high damage, high crit chance = owned

   
There is no 'best' all around class

WoW is a nice example of Rock-Scissors-Paper as far as classes go ..

You'll win against one class more often, but lose more often against another, esp. in duels.

In Battlegrounds, it will feel like you are losing all the time because you die so much, that's all - of course it depends on the skill of the player - you may watch a couple of duelers and think  'rogues always win' or 'warriors seem to always win', but another day of watching duels, you'd think something different..

No one class have a upper hand against ALL other classes.

I agree my main is a Lock and I do pretty well in PvP....if im not seen....soon as an MS warrior sees me....the next thing I see is the GY. Mages are easy with my lock...fel hunter...spell lock...nukes. Rogues mess me up but im Aff so, instant howl of terror, run like a little school girl. On nifty trick to a MS warrior is to Curse of exhaustion kite them, hit it up with CoE, Corruption, Siphon, unstable and walk backwards. But that is situational and might not always work. With the new updates to hunters, they are becoming harder to kill. Shamans have fear wards and grounding totems, best thing is to get them out of the range of them and fear them to death. Shadow priest=hard IMO unless you can get spell lock on them and then fear dot them.

But as many have said..there is no "best PvP class 1v1" it is all about skill and then the gear. You can be in full tier 9 millions, and suck at your class and a good player will mow your face off.

Imo, I beat anything if I am awake, and using a fairly well computer. Affliction specced 45/16/0.

Warriors are kited, (note that I am gnome, therefor has Excape artist")

Rogues (carry insignia!) Dispel their stun if they stun, and make sure you get howl of fear off and run in ópposite direction while firing dots off. ( note that my spell hit rating is 60, and that counters the cloak of shadows enough to get at least every second spell off)They die eventually. dont forget death coil also.

priests: see them first, and all-out dot while howl of fear and death coil. fear if possible. if you have enough life, and he is hard, then suck the mana out his #¤%. Then let him die..

Feral Druids are hands down thee best class for 1v1 pvp... against any class when played correctly. Rarely have I lost against any other class with my 70 druid and all I have is pvp gear :P

Locks: poor locks, open with your burst they'll in return coil you... who cares? after the coil comes the fear trinket out of that run up spam mangle wait for their lame ass fear then maim them nrg up finish them off. Oh, then heal your lock herpes.
If they get the drop on you who cares, rush them with feral charge then follow from the top.

Mages: Must I really explain how to beat a mage with a druid?

Hunters: sleep their pet, charge them, gg

Shammies: cat form, basic attack their tots, mangle mangle magle maim heal bear form demoralizing roar stun mangle mangle mangle

Pallies: this is the only annoying class to fight as feral, balance they don't stand a chance, but basically open with cat get your burst off, heal, bear form demoral mangle mangle mangle saving your bash/maims to interrupt their lame attempts at healing.

warriors: ...burst with cat entangle heal nrg u[p burst with cat entangle heal bear form FIN

Rogue: see above warrior desc.

Druid: whoever has the better gear/skill wins

im sorry, but i gotta go with shadow priest. i think they can pretty much get anyone, but i guess a warrior's charge/intecept might be a challenge, same with a druid's charge. but sides that, psycich (sp?) scream can fear more than one person at a time, thus fearing their pet and the hunter. so im going with shadow priest. just my two cents tho.

I've won and lost to every class, but the class I've always had problems with is hunters.

well any class can be good in 1v1... you can have terrible gear and be able to own some good geared player---as long as you know how to play your class.. <<warrior

Warriors a awsome if you can get to the enemy, the problem is getting there!!! If you have the PvP trinket that takes away any inspiring effects it helps alot, then when you get there just use bleedout and hamstring then just start hacking! Of coarse it's not always that easy with certain classes... All in all i think Blizzards given Druids the biggest advantage considering the can handle almost any circumstance and even out tank some warriors!

Most Definatly Paladins. They were made for PVP. They dont have any superior role(example dps, tank, ect.) but they are spread out consistantly. This allows them to be the best class in surviving. All characters are indeed equal to each other but they do serve roles better than others, and Paladins are meant to be the #1 PVP class. Considering chosing a spec I would go with Shockadin(40/0/21) very effective healing in raids and areanas but also be speced in retribution for maximal dps for holly shock. 

Haha, personally i wouldnt think 70 pally would be the best, because on my 70 hunter (Beast Mastery)  i can easily pwn pallys no matter how good geared they are...  But as someone said its like rock-paper-sisors.    There is really no BEST class, some class's can beat others and others can beat them so it ges all around.

I'm a MM Hunter and have not had any problems defeating any class in PVP 1 on 1 at equal level.  Feral Druids seem to get a lot of love from many ppl I have spoken to and I will admit they were very tough at first, but once I realized the trick is to keep them away from and perfected my kiting, they aren't a prob.  The biggest challenge I have is a rogue.  Those guys are tough, but just like the druids: keep them at a distance and a hunter can own.

at 60, warriors are a godless killing machine

Every class gets their perks at one level or another, at 62 druids get maim =) its like rogues gouge. Here's another combo i came up with, it relies on a little bit of crit for the druid to win though:

Pounce, mangle,shred, go into bear, bash, go into cat, faerie fire, maim. If maim crits or if shred or mangle crits warlock should be at 50% hp! tested it today, then after maim use shred and that hits for a good 300-500, possibly more with mangle debuff, but then comes the bad part of getting feared to deth. It is possible to come back using feral charge, cyclone, and heal once u got dots on u however. MM hunters? Yeah, I have a lot of trouble with those guys, anyways here's how it usually goes: Pounce, mangle, shred, faerie fire, they freeze trap me and go back for an aimed shot, i go into caster and use bark skin, aimed shot usually doesn't crit, anyways i get hit for a decent amt of dmg and go bear and feral charge, followed by bash, back into cat, mangle, scare beast, they get back and once i get out, concussive shot, into caster, moonfire, into cat,dash, maim. If the hunter didn't crit at all then I should be at about 30% hp (same for the hunter). Then after maim and shred hunter usually uses scatter shot and al that stuff. I must admit Hunter is probably one of my most challenging classes, the victor is determined by crits usually. So far I haven't been able to beat a smart afflic warlock but when lvl 70 comes around that may change. AS for frost mages, i shift out when ever they freeze me, if they slow/freeze me more than twice then I interrupt them in bear. I also use maim as fast as I can so the mage can't blink out of it.

PvP is very much Rock/paper/scissors. But Druids have very little paper to beat their rocks. :P
Druids at low lvls are utterly useless  at PvP, but at 45+ they get damn annoying/tough. At 70 a feral druid is a beast :( Although in second place its either a warlock or frost mage.
I've seen a couple of frost mages completely wipe the floor with most classes outside orgr. Warriors in particular. The rogue whined the entire time but still got his ass kicked.
Dnt think I ever saw how the warlock V Frost mage turned out, most likely warlock win.

And yes Hunters are pretty damn good against every class, but their deadzone always buggers them up completely. Take that away....:D

I've heard hunters are losing dead zone and also I've heard its gone on the PTR. Shamans dominate hunters in PvP since they can keep them slowed, and reduce ranged damage taken. Frost mages can beat nearly any class except shamans and in the upcoming expansion I'm going to guess hunters too since they cant exploit the hunter's dead zone. Mortal strike warriors beat shamans and rogues, but lose to Shadow priests, Frost mages, and in SOME cases hunters. Ret paladins are getting an extreme buff and might be able to take alot more classes down in PvP also. Rogues beat casters, but lose to hunters and melee classes. Druids beat most everything except mortal strike warriors especially since arms is getting a buff in the next patch. Warlocks if resilience stacked can beat near anything except hunters, mages, and shamans.

this is funny, there is no point arguing over this. My cousins do this all the time. "This class it the best!" "Nope, this one is!" Just let it go. It all depends on gear and player experience.

Lol feral druids are not a pve class, sure roguye is better than kitty but druid can go bear and own rogue, sure warrior is better than bear but if cat plans it stuns right then it can healand be at full hp while warrior is at half, then bear can take it down. Warlock is just that annoying class that beats a druid, Because of their fear. Fear is the only reason locks are any good at pvp at all.

i would say prot / holy pally i got 5/5 arena and i am verry proud to say i bring down all the classes with my 13k hp and i still  hit sorta hard

Not even the best frost mage could beat a sl/sl lock who is decent.

I've fought every spec pally and as long as they don't use a potion of some sort, or any unnatural way to heal or deal damage then I can win. Every time i've battled a pally it takes a while so I usually avoid them.
