It would be super great to show the base mats needed for a crafted item.

Currently it shows the direct mats, which is great. but would be so nice to see the nested mats, for the "created mats"

Example:
  Imbued Netherweave Bag: Imbued Netherweave Bolt(x4), Netherweb Silk(x2), Greater Planer Essense
    #Base Mats# Netherweave Silk(x72), Arcane Dust(x8), Netherweb Silk(x2), (Greater Planer Essense / Lesser Planer Essense(x3))


Something like this would make life a lot easier when someone hands you what they think is needed for the Gyro-Balanced Khorium Destroyer.

I completely agree. As a tailor I get this all the time. I finally just made a macro for bags becuase I'm sick of doing the math for people who are lazy

Awesome idea. I was even thinking you could take it further with a 'shopping list' app. So if I was browsing crafted items and enchants I could just add them to my 'shopping basket'. Then a nice little interface would allow the user to update currently banked mats and would alert when you have enough to make each item. (Wish we could see our bags and banks through the armory, then this could update automatically!).

Maybe it's already been done...
