I havent played the game in a while and if memory serves me right there used to be an add-on button at the character select screen. How do I utilize add-ons now a days?

When you have any addons installed into your C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns folder besides the Blizzard default UI, the AddOn button will appear on your Character Select screen.  If you do not have any addons installed besides the default Blizzard UI, the AddOn button will not appear.

I have my addons in the right folders but the icon doesnt show up on my character....dont know why...anyone know the answer??
