Pre-kara, sword rogues should just earn Aldor rep and purchase a Vindicator's Blade and use it as their main-hand as far as I'm concerned (non-Aldor rogues should go buy Blinkstrike). Put Latro's Shifiting Sword in the off-hand, period.
After you get those swords, your first priority is to pu Mongoose Enchants on both of them!
The look nice, but that's about it, if looks are all that matter, go buy (or make) two Longblades and just wear them in town. Don't hinder yourself by actually USING them combat.
