What is the best spec to kill a frost mage in a duel? I never win and that pisses me off.
To be honest there is no way as a pally to kill a mage in duel. You cant slow em so he just has to blink away and nuke you. But the best spec would be retribution.I got a 70 holy pally and its impossible to kill a mage alone.
To kill an frost mage,ain't easy,but u can achieve this as holy or retri,I've been both so i know what i am talking... If u are retri use blessing of freedom always so mage's slowing effect will not harm u,when he uses frost nova or capture u in place just use cleanse,use seal of command or seal of blood, that's solves thing and mage can't kill u...If u are holy,it's a bit difficult,again,blessing of freedom,seal of righteus and always cleanse,for holy pala it's easier to stay alive cause of great heals,always use FLASH of light and mage can't kill u so quick,he will once ran oom and u still will have more that one half hp :)
As a holy pally against a mage, I just heal through their damage until they run out of mana...My guy has close to 700 spell dmg and 1.7k +healing so I put out a bit of dmg and can heal through alot. I also have a base spell crit of around 18% which helps out alot. Moral of the story...outlast em!
are you serious? i eat mages alive with my ret pally. all you really have to do is watch them and get some timing down. your auras are your greatest weapon, watch what spell they are casting and give a quick aura change for either fire or ice (your outta luck for arcane but not many mages use that PvP). ice mages are somewhat of a nuisance due to slowed and freezing affect but toss your ice aura up and play healer for a bit with a shield with hp and resistance boost his/her mana will drain long before yours. if that doesnt work for ya just rush in take the brunt of the first spell or two and dish out some burst damage with a powerfull 2hander (only if your ret though).
easy, just run after then all the time, use seal of justice for the acational stun , use cleanse when ever u get frozen, then heal when u are low, at some point the mage is out of mana, then go kill him.. but by then the chicking runs off, so kill him fast
mages are exceptionally hard but what you should be doing is waiting for thier burst damage mostly at the start when hes about to kill you bubble then heal up. Stay in seal of justice should slow it down seal up get him at 20% hammer of wrath.
This is easy for a retadin with 15% speed increase, crusaderstrike etc.
lol me and my freind hav been questing 2geva since lvl 1 he is frost mage i am ret pally and i own is face the scond im close to him bam soc cs judgement and his health 3 quarters gone he is running for his like so repeantance im also spamming purify to remove his slowdowns and he is stunned he blinks i chase and hit him again or if he uses that freeze thing that protects him (cant remember wot its calld) i will heal myself and w8 for the second the ice goes cs soc judgement dead :) thats how i beat em
