OMG ive maxed my skills and i ahve about everything you can imagine....but no one buys it!!  The BC expansion killed any reason to buy from LWers since you cn get better stuff in instances.  No one wants green items.  And the blues take WAY too much to make that its not worth making for the gold you spend getting the mats and what you end up selling it for.  I mean 6-8 primals to make a riding crop??  Thats like 5-8g each depending on the server your on.  And if you farm it, it takes you an eternity cause you ahve to compete with other farmers.  Or deal with horde/Alliance gankings.

Then when you finally make something, like Stylin Adventurer's Hat, everyone complains about the cost and it sits in the AH for 2 weeks, and still no one buys.  So your into it 40g and cant sell it :P

Is there some way we can get something AWSOME as a trained recipe?  And still make it worth our while to sell??  Cause as it is im thinking I wasted my time as LW and seriously thinking of going alchemy.

I never thought I'd hear people complain about making money with Lw/Sk, it's so easy to do.

you have to get the rep though, if you want to sell stuff for money.  No one wants to buy the blues, you're right, but the armor kits are very popular, and if you have an alt with enchanting, you can make stupid money between the two.  Go to neatherstorm, just NE of area52, and find the mana serpents and neather rays, they always drop a grey, often drop a mote of mana, and usually drop either a knothide leather, or 3 scraps, use or sell the motes, sell the junk, and turn the leather into greens, get them DE'd and sell the mats, doing this I made 1600G in one week (still had lv 75 riding when started) for about 8 hours of work.

want to be a bit lazier about it?

stand in trade channle and offer to make clefthoof, cobrascale, and heavy knothide armor kits, there's also one that offers +8 def rating to 4 slots, and hope someone bites

I don't know why leatherworking has suddenly become a enchanting profession, but the leggings are awsome for twinks, and can easily go for 100G for the +30 stm +10 agl

another good tip for getting those motes of earth you need so many of, is find a BS, ENG, or JC, as they'll likely have a lot, and will often be glad to trade for some of those motes of mana (I trade 5e for 1m)

Mate i'm definately NOT complaining about ever getting leatherworking. If anything i'm glad i got it becusae i'm a hunter and i mainly train(or farm)  on beast so i can get meat for my pet and then i just skin 'em. after that i just make stuff using leatherworking.

it's also one of the best farming trades

Are you a hunter? Hes collecting meat and the skinning is just a bonus. Its free mats. Easy to collect, especially if you have to kill the mobs anyway.
Second dnt farm as a resto druid then? :S Not exactly the prime choice of spec to go farming with is it...

You must have good population servers or something.  I ask for 20g for a clefthide kit, and no one will bite.  Its about 10g just for the primals, and about 2 hours farming for the clefthoof leather.  Ive tried  farming for the primals, but the motes dont want to drop for me LOL

Noticed that druid's complaint about the snakes only dropping about 1 cobra scale per 16....I wonder if you're only killing the cobras in shadowmoon valley. There was some patch or another which added new snakes that drop cobra scales to Nagrand.  It's just north of the forge camps on a high plateau.  Must have a flying mount to reach it.  These snakes are non-aggressive (won't attack until you do) and there are no other beasts around except some weird birds.  Total tranquility and easiest cobra scale farming you'll ever have.

Also the main benefit of LW is the BOP set you get at 375/375.The $$$ is in the armor kits and imagine this the mining bags is my best seller. The LW bag(Bag of many Hides) is nice cause it holds motes and primals, you need to say that when you advertise it on Trade channel.Best for a bank slot and tell them and many will bite.If you got into LW just for the $$$ you picked the wrong profesion, you should have picked another gathering profession.Gathering professions=100% profit.
