Here's a tip for getting Snarler another ability before hand.

Longtooth Runners (the level 40 wolves), teach Dash(rank 2) And once my Blood Elf hunter leveled to 40, I came to Feralas and ran into Snarly. Since I was too low level to tame him, I decided to tame him later. Then, I cast Beast Lore on one of the Longtooth Runners and found out that they teach Dash(rank 2) plus all the abilites Snarly teaches. So, hunters, if you want your pet to have Dash(rank 2) and you are still level 40 or 41, even if you are a higher level you can still tame and get this ability, tame a Longtooth Runner and run around with it a little while before you tame Snarly so when you tame snarly, you can have Dash(rank 2) for it.
