yes it is, and yes there are unique things u can get from enchanting, like alchemy, u can get special ring enchants that can only be given to urself, and turn the item bop. also u can make money so it isnt a waste of a proffession, idk wat u guys are talking about its great for money, aquamarine signets for example, in my realm, sell for 4g and DE for small radiant shards which sell for 8g.

i gotta say, as a lower level char, enchanting can take awhile to build up. i started it on my lock and im like maybe 150 or something. took awhile, i wont lie.

however, i used to have mining and skinning on my warrior. skinning was wasting my time so i scrapped that one for enchanting. i know what your thinkin, "why? youre a warrior". but an easy way i found to make money once i got to lvl 60, and i even do it now, is to solo through dungeons, kill and loot til my bags where full and/or i got done, then id vendor off everything. then i realized how much reagents sold for on a regular basis. so i decided to pick it up for the sole purpose to DE everything then sell what i got on the AH.

since having done that, ive enjoyed it. ive managed to throw some good stuff on my gear that was helped me when fightin, and even though i keep all the reagents for myself and the guild, ive made alot of money for the simple fact i run through these dungeons alot more often. youd be suprised how much all that white gear sells for when its a higher lvl item.
