its from master engineer trainers on shadowmoon valley far as i heard. checked alliance side and it was correct atleast, the master engineer on the alliance outpost on shadowmoon valley has it
req 350 engineering and level 70 char to learn.
The horde trainer is in Shadowmoon Village and I believe is called Jonathan Garrett. He's on the top level near the Inn and flight master.
Upgrading requires a Hula Girl Doll. REMEMBER THAT!
*Bob*
The skill comes from an undead named Jonathan Garret in Shadowmoon Valley and Niobe Whizzlespark in Wildhammer Stronghold near the Flying trainers and wyvern/gryphon vendors. It requires 350 engineering and lvl 70 to learn. In my honest opinion, the materials for this are nothing compaired to the 350 goggles. The upgrade to Turbo-Charged isn't all that bad, but the Hula Girl Doll is around 100g. Now if only we engineers can learn something to pursuade riding instuctors to lower their prices with some sort of gadget...

If you played Warcraft II:
I've got a flying machine! You want me to fly? Here I go! Goodbye!!!!
Has any other Engineers had problems with their Gyrocopter?
I love zooming around, swooping and soaring around using my mouse. I even get to do a Barrel Roll. The only problem is that sometimes my 'Copter gets "stuck". I can't fly down, only up. When stuck I can try as much as I like to move forward, but it only results in my copter staying abolutely still, nose of the copter pointed straight up. Arrow keys on the keyboard don't move it forward. The "Run" key doesn't make it move forward. The mouse doesn't make it move forward. I only am allowed to fly straight up. I always make sure to pack my Parachute cloak for these occassions. I point my camera straight down, release my mount and go skydiving, with a 75% success rate timing the triggering of the cloak. Sometimes, with hills beside the landing zone, it gets difficult to judge how far from the ground you really are, and the cloak's powers wear off way too soon. Anybody else have any problems? -Gregori, Altar of Storms

Alliance: This is not learned from a schematic, it's trainable from Niobe Whizzlespark in Wildhammer Stronghold, at about 36.7, 54.8. She's a green-haired gnome near the center. At 70 you can learn both this and the Turbo version, and get the training just north of her (800g for "regular" flying training, 5000 for epic).

Am I the only one worried about the fact that we are flying something with 4 charges of seaforium built into?
You guys seem to be missing the point of Eng. It's about making things that are fun. Also for you guys who complain about gold. I make about 150G a day collecting motes and selling the primals while completing quests. This is by far the best skill!
Though don't let it get around, I don't want my profits going to everyone else! LOL.
Woot for the Scooty Puff Jr. !!!
Seriously though...you don't take engineering because it's profitable...you take it because it makes you squeal with joy everytime you use something... lol (just built mine and flew around Outland for an hour, just enjoying the sensation)

just made one today, love it. idc if i go slow i will never fly a gryphon again. puttering around with the volume turned way up, got my lil smoky following behind... a good day to be an engineer. but i was thinking.. wouldnt it be great if the thing "ocasionaly" just backfired... scaring the heck out of everyone around u while u idle around shatt? and i dont know what some of you are complaining about the smoke for... need glowbal warming for the new expansion, we should just melt the throne. ive always got my mec pet out and lil smoky polluting every second im online. nothing funnyer than some tree huggin night elf tellin me to use alternitive modes of transportation... if i could make my own smoke spewing boat to putter around in, i sure as heck would. cant wait to see the next super-polluter in the expansion...

DO NOT MAKE THIS MOUNT!!! If you have Lich King you can skip this mount and go for the Turbo-Charged Flying Machine directly! I wish I'd known that :( Go look at the comments for the Turbo-Charged Flying Machine if you don't believe me. I just wasted all this time and all those materials making this old POS! You don't even need Elemental Seaforium for the Turbo-Charged Flying Machine which means you don't need to waste your time getting Revered with the Consortium Faction (like I just did). You will kick yourself if you waste your time on the slower flying machine when you could be spending your time on the Turbo-Charged one. I should have read the comments for the Turbo-Charged first.

ehh, the new mats arent as fun as the old ones. when i built mine i could look at my chpper and say "thats where the bolts are! and look, the adamitite plating mixed w/ fel iron!" those where the days...
This should be updated: it requires 300 engineering to make and ride, and requires level 60 to ride. Also, if updated, it would be good to know if the price to make changed, as I am looking to make one myself. :P
