TBH, this is possible the most convenenient way to grind primal air, not only isnt there any ganking, but you can also farm veins at the same time as you fly around. The have fixed it but there is still bugged clouds where the clouds are on those floating islands but just out of range of the extractor.
I pity the poor nabs who don't have engineering. Having to grind somewhere like the plateu where they can be ganked.

Gas clouds hotfix According to various mails and reports I got, it seems that Gas Cloud harvesting has been successfuly hotfixed and is now working again. You can now enjoy your easy primal farming again. confirmed on my server this morning, windy clouds in nagrand are respawning :D enjoy !
Since its a 400% drop rate does that meen it has a 100% chance to drop 4 motes of air or just 1 or 2? This post is faded because it has a negative score.
/hate these, aprox 50% are bugged on the islands that float over nagrand, they seem to spawn on random pixels within about 50yards of and piece of rock. the last 3 mini patches have claimed to have fixed this issue. WRONG not fixed, wtb 60yard range on the mote extracto XD if u cant reach one also, dont tell a gm they just stiff u as usual
he is right. i reported these bugged clouds and the only thing the gm told me was they are investigating it. it's very annoying to fly past these all the time and think you can farm it, especially when you fall off the floating island and die trying to reach it. In Nagrand some Windy Clouds are just out of reach from the floating rocks! How can these even be harvested if you cant use the mote extractor while mounted??
check out around the arena ring of trials theres usualy one there. there is also fequently one near the hord town, guaradar. and as another poster said around 30 62 i have been doin triangles for about 20 minutes and got 3 primals and lots of adamantite. 30-62 has a respawn timer of no more than 7 minutes. do homework+clicky=bling bling
seems like the respawn timer on the ones around the arena is about 15 min and the one near guardar is like 8
Just do laps around oshu'gun and kill the cyclones + clouds
im not sure if this has been said in other comments but for any engineer who loves to farm these or the ones in SMV, ZM or nethersotm, i suggest getting the GatherMate addon.
ive been using it for about a week now. farming these have become so much easier. before it would take about 3 hours for each 20 primal air (i dont farm the others) now it takes about 1 hour. farming has been great. get the addon! its great edit: (also unsure if been said) theres a great spot at around 30 61 in nagrand to farm these. before i had the addon, i could farm about 10 primal air/hour just by standing around at those cords. great place for anyone who hasnt got the flying mount (as some clouds are in the floating places)
