Alliance: Do no fret about this! I've been fishing in orgrimmar uninterrupted for an hour so far, here's how I did it:
As a rogue, I steathed in so no horde would be looking for me for ten minutes, I suggest an invisability potion or whatever you can get your hands on (orb of deception is fun, but won't exactly do the trick :P)
Find your way to the Valley of Spirits and there's a tree and a rock connected to each other and you can face north and fish without a problem
for those with cords: 36, 88
REMEMBER: face north, otherwise almost none of your casts will hit the water

To make this thread short, as of 12/11/08 for the alli side the EASYEST way to catch this fish in under 10 min is get the Crocalisks in the city quest from the guy outside of shat.
step 2 is get into ogremar I used the quest portal from [Fate, up against your will]
step 3 I caught this fish in the vally of spirits, start fishing, BUT DO NOT LOOT THE CROC!!!! affter about 1-15 casts u should loot old crafty.
Sempirith NE Druid-Sargeras
I have the quest Crocolisk in the city, and have been fishing in Org for about an hour. I have caught about 30 baby crocolisks but didn't loot them. Still no Old Crafty. What gives?
On a lazy weekend in Orgrimmar I found myself putting a few brews back and tossin' a line. It approached that time of day when the sun hit the tree line and every fisherman knows that it's magic hour - the time when legends are made. The mosquitoes were thick and I was weary from the sun's power that day but I decided to cast just one more time before Retiring. The cast was long - a country mile - and I was taking my time reelin it in as I looked back on the day's catch and how good a fish fry sounded for dinner when I noticed something...
there was a swirl of water around my bobber and although it was getting darker by the minute I distinctively knew something was interested and I stopped reeling. Left station less the bobber looked like a beacon of light in a black glassy void and sensing I had perplexed the taker I picked up the reeling - this time fast... very fast. I used figure eights and small jerks to simulate injury and as the lure approached the drop off point near the waterfall - the all too familiar heart-snap and adrenaline rush HIT me as I now had - FISH ON
I struggled to control the getaway - releasing just a bit of slack and giving the beast some time to show me it's mettle. I was surprised at the intensity of this one... it clearly was not the typical snapper or catfish... even the 17 pounder I had caught earlier was a breeze to land compared to this... Yes this was something far more sinister.
the line was taught and my pole looked dangerously angled towards water and I knew I had to act quickly. I stood up and pointed the pole at the waterline and drew my arms up and back using raw force to pull the behemoth up and then compensated on the re-draw with a reeling hand so fast - I think I wore out the bearings of my old Penn. On the repeat motion I finally saw something right beneath the surface... something dark and brutal.. something that seemed like it was aching to get a look at ME! Our eyes met and I felt a chill run down my back as I finally beheld the slick engineered looked of this fish. the dorsal was sharp and the fish was long and lean. I grabbed for my net - a net that was now making me nervous with its now miniscule stature in comparison. I went down into the abyss with it, dying to see this fish out of its element and in mine when, as if God himself had cursed this fish, it looked at me and in a blink of an eye - BIT through my spider-line like it was 2lb test!! With a splash in my face I saw a flicker as this missle accelerated into the deep along with my lure.
I sat there on the now dark water's edge in awe - looking at my frayed line. I picked up my stringer and box and started on the journey home. I knew, however, that this would not be my last encounter with the Crafty God of the Orgrimmar Ponds.
---------------
---------
----
In my quest to land this fish I present to you the stats:
- started with skill of 55, +5 pole, and lure // Ended at skill of 225, +20 pole and lure
- not once did a fish "get away" so these statistics reflect my experience and although may not be yours, aren't skewed
- I fished every inch of both ponds in Org using multiple casts in same area
- this took around 4 hours although it may be a bit more as I had downed a few during this adventure
----------
- 317 mudsnappers
- 132 catfish
- 82 sunfish
- 1 17 pound catfish (0.02 %)
- 1 healing potion (0.005 %)
- 1 bloated mudsnapper (0.003 %) (looted 1 shadowgem from it)
- Old Crafty (0.001 %)
----------
Although you could say the odds are the same for all the rare items above - I actually caught the 17 pounder at fish #45, the healing potion at fish #174, the bloated mudsnapper at fish #312, and The legend at fish #531.
As an footnote (showing that this is only my observed probability - it will most likely not be yours) during the time I spent doing this another person announced they had caught him after only a half a dozen casts... it was a hunter looking to simply feed his pet...
I will divulge that I caught him WITHOUT lure and skill at the time was 225 + 20 for pole but as any true angler, I am not giving away the spot!
Good luck and always remember for true fish masters... trolling is never a bad thing...
(P.S I did NOT practice catch and release...)

excellent tale, a whopper for sure!

I think its neat when people put some effort into weaving an imaginative tale, RP or not.
I got mine in Orrigimar near where you learn First aide skills.
I planed myself on a nice rock and proceeded to fish towards the shore line and near the reeds.
For some reason alot of people love to jump from the upper decks and land right where the bobber sits.
Anyhow, while doing this I was tryng different things...
One thing I learned is that you can sit and cast and catch fish while sitting down...
I even took a few screen shots of it, and I took a SS of my fishing buddy results when I caught it...
Took me 127 fish, and 2 mana potions before I got it...
Level 145 fishing skill up to 198.
I ofcourse put it back in the water since some of my items give me better stats but I had to try and catch it for the sport of it.
Best of luck on your fishing experiences...
Info from my fishing buddy add-on while levelling my fishing from 250-300.

Lesser Mana Potion: 1 (0.2%)
Old Crafty: 1 (0.2%)
Total Fish Caught: 401
From the few storys I've heard from people who fish on my server, he was probably added sometime after patch 2.3, as not many older fishers have him. The drop rate seems completely random (some getting him after only a few catches, some still fishing for him)
But most people who've caught him were above the skill level for get-aways in Org (75),
It seems highly likely that he'd definetly at least require the skill level to stop get aways (they don't call him old crafty for nothing ;-D), and that he can be caught at any time of the day.
Don't take this data as god given proof, the sample size is small, just an indicator to show he's a rare fish to catch.
BTW; Anyone that does end up trying to fish him out, the Raw Longjaw Mud Snapper. Bristle whisker Catfish and Brilliant Smallfish are fantastic for levelling cooking from about 1-150.

Caught mine 5/1/08 after pulling in the IF one. Had to blow invisibility to get past the flight point. There's a neat little spot around 64, 26 were you can fish behind a rock, so the horde won't catch you. I jumped down from the hunter trainers area in order to get there. My screenshot is of the area I fished in. It may take a few tries to find land you can stand on, but it's there. It took me about 40 minutes overall. I guess the 5% extra int was what made it so fast :p
Pulled up:
45 longjaw mud snappers
10 bristle whisker catfish
6 brilliant smallfish
and
75 skill points in fishing :)
Ryokhai - 70 Gnome Mage - Stonemaul - Clearly Outplayed
4 hours fishing in the opossite faction main city... 623 fishes caught... Valley of Spirits, just with 375 fishing skill and nothing more. Got it. And achievement complete.
For hunter: Aspect of the beast, track humanoids. There is a rock and some plant where you can hide and fish in peace. I would submit a screen, but thottbot never add my screens.
Good luck everybody! You just need patience and, if you are alliance like me, be careful.

Wow you are so lucky...I've been in Ogrimmar for 3 days fishing on and off...over 800 catches including 17 lb Catfish, 19 lb catfish, 2 health potions and a mana potion...but NO OLD CRAFTY!!! I'll keep trying tho and let you all know...
btw ty to all the Horde who have not killed me so i can keep fishing. <3

For the Alliance!
You just have to run for it. If they get you, rez and keep running. I recommend taking your gear off. You'll die a lot faster, but at least you won't take durability loss.
Somewhat difficult to obtain. Alliance probably will have the easiest time entering via the side entrance (along Southfury River that separates Durotar from the Barrens.)
Non-combat dropping classes may want to bring invisibility potions to drop combat from the inevitable train of guards that will follow you.
Before you run into the city, take off your armor so if you get killed by the guards, you won't take durability loss.
Should you die, it's a run back from Razor Hill in the middle portion of Durotar. It's about a 5-10 minute run back to your corpse. Mind the guards when you ressurect.
Ride to the Valley of Honor, and get to the waterfall area near the northwestern side of the small lake here.
Note: You will certainly get killed here from time to time by Horde. If you choose to fight back, you'll make some progress towards Wrath of the Alliance achievement, but note you may also piss them off further and they'll call for help in general chat. Most Horde I've encountered on Lightbringer have been lenient with allowing us to go for our achievement, though I think some of this may be related to the Scourge Invasion having them focus on keeping their NPC's alive.
As of now I'm at 350 casts, no Old Crafty yet. On the up side, this achievement will help you push for the 1000 Fish achievement you need for the Salty title, and you'll get your fishing up towards the maximum relatively easily.
Keep on Truckin'. I'll post my final numbers eventually.
While you're here, think about doing Ragefire Chasm for the Classic Dungeonmaster achievement.

CATCHING OLD CRAFTY IN 10 MINUTES OR LESS
Easiest method for Alliance and Horde
This method was reported on the WoW bug forums and received this blue response: This is not a bug, nor do I think this is working as you think.
If it ISNT a bug, then it must be working as intended.. just not as the bug reporter thought.
Today I saw the Old Crafty achievement flash across gchat so many times : ( I caught him the legitimate way with several hours of fishing.. only to find that anybody can catch him with ease! At first I was upset.. but since Blizzard condones it, I decided to share this little known method :D
SO WHAT IS THE METHOD ALREADY!! Sorry for the gibber-jabber.
1.) Get the "Crocolisks in the City" (Daily) quest.
2.) Go fish in Orgrimmar. More than likely you will get the baby croc on the first or second cast. DONT LOOT IT. Just keep fishing.
THAT'S IT! 15 people in guild caught Old Crafty with this method within minutes of fishing.
EDIT: does NOT work for Mr. Pinchy / Old Ironjaw.
Styxix - Alliance - Nathrezim
It's not random when several people who tried for hours used this method and got it within a couple minutes.
When 20 people in one guild get "lucky" all using teh same method and were previously "unlucky" not using the method... one begins to think that it is more than "luck"
the method DOES work.. it's been reported on wowhead and on wow bug forums. Blues and GMs have stated that it is not a bug and that it is working as intended.
So I fished in Org for a couple hours last night, lost patience and decided to try again another time.
Today I went to get the fishing daily, which just happened to be Crocolisks in the City.. so I thought, why not, I'll try that method. Took auto loot off, didn't loot the baby croc each time it came up..and lo and behold, there was Old Crafty along with the croc after just a few casts.
I then proceeded to /dance.
So yeah, I'd say this method really works.
1. Get the crocolisk quest
2. Fish in Org.
3. Delete the Baby Crocolisk every time after an unsuccessful attempt at Crafty, cast again.
4. When you finally get Crafty & the Baby Croc in your cast you might loot the croc first by auto-loot and be unable to loot crafty. Just delete the croc from your bag and click Crafty again.
I just used this bug for my achievement a moment ago, still works!! (though it took me about 50 casts compared to 10 or so people have been reporting.)
GL!
Also if u are on the quest line after the wrathgate u can fish there and not get botherd by other plays since u are phased out.
did rage fire caverns as well
Alliance bug fixed as of 3.0.8 =(
Maybe it's just me, but I'm glad it's fixed.
I don't understand the point in going out of your way to do something like this purely an achievement and exploiting a bug to do it. It rather defeats the part where you actually achieve something. I'd rather never catch him than sacrifice the potential satisfaction of having him on the end of my reel legitimately.
I just caught old crafty, and actually pressed the fish button again before it registered what was going on, sending him back into the water. Needless to say, I was pretty mad :P. I even opened a ticket to see if I could claim it as a misloot. Luckily I caught him again while waiting for the ticket, and was a little more patient with the fish trigger this time. Having techinally caught him twice, I got a pretty reasonable idea on how it takes to catch him. It most people should catch him within about 500 fish, so if you want him enough to put the time in, you'll get him.
However my ratio is not going to be perfect a lvl 15 druid walked up next to me after I had missed Old Crafty the first time, and began to fish. I watched him recieve his 25 fish achievement, and then about ten casts later the Old Crafty achievement. No joke.
So good luck on catching him, hopefully you won't accidently misclick your fish button once you do.(I actually just caught him a third time while typing this and misclicked the same as I did the first time. Good thing I already have the achievement.)
Later
I'm pretty convinced that the fish is a lie - or at least borked. Today:
3 hours 44 minutes 19 seconds fishing in Orgrimmar, Valley of Honor at the waterfall and stream out towards the road (circa 65, 25). This round I executed while phased - so no deaths, not even from the guards.
414 Longjaw Mud Snappers
155 Bristle Whisker Catfish
123 Brilliant Smallfish
2 Lesser Mana Pots
2 19 Pound Catfish
1 Gypsy Buckler of the Monkey
1 17 Pound Catfish
0 Deaths
0 Miss casts
0 Double casts
0 Early pulls
All on video by the way with no "Fish Got Away"
But, I did get 3 achievements
- Fish up something in Orgrimmar
- 500 caught fish
- 1000 caught fish
Round 2 was on 12 February for 3 hours 14 minutes (7 hours total). A note sent to Blizzard resulted in an e-mail that Crafty is not bugged with a redirect to the forums (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/board.html?forumId=11122&sid=1). Unfortunately I wasn't out of phase for this one - so every 12 year old with a DK of course was ganking.
Round 3 was 1 hour 50 minutes with only 5 deaths.
Round 4 is in progress as I write this, and I am approaching a total of 11 hours.
It gets pretty frustrating, things like this with a random drop of 0.1% (< 1/1000). You wonder why something like that even exists in the game. Sure, I can understand epic world random drops of 0.1% or even 0.01% - but to send someone into a combating faction capitol city and expect them to sit there in excess of 7 hours is ass-hattery.
Achievements like this really should be "Insanity Achievements" (and worth more than a mere 10 points):
"Unbalanced - for spending 10 minutes fishing in opposing factions capitol"
"Unstable - for spending 30 minutes fishing in opposing factions capitol"
"Insane - for spending 1 hours fishing in opposing factions capitol"
"Lunatic - for spending 5 hours fishing in opposing factions capitol"
"Stark Raving Mad - for spending 10 hours fishing in opposing factions capitol"
"Non Compos Mentis - for spending over 10 hours fishing in opposing factions capitol"
Tried this again this morning after a long respit. I am about to find the blizzard employee who came up with this achievement and ... well speak very harshly with them.
Two hours, two deaths, no missed catches and still no crafty. Fished in the valley of spirits.
Almost forgot the most important stat - to date I have logged 21 hours (gametime) on this achievement without success.
Finally! Tonight on the second cast! Tally was just over 21 hours of gametime fishing. Boy are my arms tired.
I think they fixed it so that even having the Crocs in the City fishing daily doesn't guarantee getting Crafty now. Fished for almost an hour and no Crafty. Threw back about 6 crocs that I fished up so it so I wouldn't have one in my bags, but still no Crafty :(
Confirm that the "Ole Crafty" trick is no longer working. spent the better part of 3 hours fishing and 9 baby crocs passed by and nothing =(
PS agree with above new achievements lol
6 Hours of fishing has gone by, daily quest doesn't work anymore, and I've come to a conclusion.. Blizzard is trying to kill Jesus.
GA! I think that Blizzard fixed the Crafty glitch in the last patch without telling us... I have the (Fate, up against your will) diplomatic immunity and the baby crocolisk quest from the Shatt guy, and i have so far caught 247 fish and 18 baby crocs( that i didn't loot) and NO CRAFTY! gggrrr..... any one else confirm this?
359 Fishes fished up and one Old Crafty caught.
Can anyone confirm that they have RECENTLY caught Old Crafty while phased out in Orgrimmmar (on the Fate, Up Against Your Will quest)? 'Recently' meaning since the Baby Crocolisk fix or so.
I'm currently around my 1300th cast since the Baby Croc fix, and haven't gotten Old Crafty. I'm willing to admit I'm unlucky, but I'm also curious that Blizz might have made him impossible to catch while phased.
I've been fishing here on Stormreaver for about 4 hours now. Well over 800 casts. I've seen a guy come, get the achievement, leave, another guy come, get the achievement, leave, and neither have been bugged by the Horde.
But I have been ganked at least 12 times now. Some DK attacked me and I killed him, he came back with a rogue and I killed them both, but now both of them plus a shaman and a paladin are camping me. I went and took a shower and made coffee and they're still here, waiting for me to res.
So in conclusion, I hate this stupid fish and the stupid achievement for getting him.
Did the grind for Old Crafty the last week in about 5 sittings. All in Org outside of the pvp area. Here are my stats:
Total: 1015
Longjaw Mud Snapper : 583, 57%
Bristle Whisker Catfish : 245, 24%
Brilliant Smallfish : 179, 17%
17 Pound Catfish : 3 , .1%
Lesser Mana Potion : 2 , .1%
Old Crafty : 1 , .1%
19 Pound Catfish : 1 , .1%
Lesser Healing Potion : 1 , .1%
| Fish | 1, 1015 | | Longjaw Mud Snapper | 583, 57% | | Bristle Whisker Catfish | 245, 24% | | Brilliant Smallfish | 179, 17% | | 17 Pound Catfish | 3 , .1% | | Lesser Mana Potion | 2 , .1% | | Lesser Healing Potion | 1 , .1% | | 19 Pound Catfish | 1 , .1% | | Old Crafty | 1 , .1% |
woof, hit submit too soon on that one ^^ i think everyone gets it though... off to Mr Pinchy
3000 casts and no Old Crafty. WTFOMG!
I was incredibly lucky. I got Old Crafty on Kilrogg, 5/26/09, in Org in the Valley of Honor in...wait for it...12 casts! Took all of 2 minutes :)
Finially caught em on darkspear with fishing skill of 125!!!!
After 5 days of fishing, 3 hours per day in the same location of 70.3 / 32.5!
I've submitted a screenshot of this achievement!
I did this quest over 2-3 days. Using the “Crocs in the city” quest no longer works. I got crafty after 578 casts.
I loved doing this achievement despite the 4-5 hours it took to complete. The constant edge of staying hidden and the fear that the horde would appear, while wearing my un-enchanted blue PvP starter-gear was awesome. If you do it right, the horde won’t even know you were ever in orgrimmar. It was brilliant watching lvl 80 horde “Conquerors” in their incredible PvP gear, sat just 10-20 yards away totally unaware that I was there. There were so many opportunities when I could have sprung out on unprepared PvP tagged horde and pwned them
Alliance Guide:
There are two places to potentially fish, one is the valley of the spirits and the other is the valley of honor. Both are very shallow pools and most methods require you to stand in the water (which is noisy if you move) Avoid the urge to go in valley of spirits because it is the portal location from dalaraan, and as such is VERY busy even at 3-5am!.
The valley of honor contains a large and very open shallow pool with a waterfall at the back. That is where you should place yourself, behind the rockery out of view of the main area.
General Tips:
- 1.) Make sure you aren’t discovered. If you avoid the horde life is much easier. Once they see you, they tend to watch for a little while then kill you for the “city defender” achievement.
- 2.) If you fight back, more will come so just die and come back later. If you make yourself into a fun minigame or a trophy for the horde then you’ll get no peace.
- 3.) Fish asleep.... type /sleep then cast fishing, it works and drastically lowers the profile of the fishing line.
- 4.) Water is noisy. Find a spot, then don’t move or you’ll make splashing sounds. Don’t fish if the horde are near, even if they can’t see you, because they can still hear the bobber splashing.
- 5.) Hide your title, its less red text above your head.
- 6.) Buy elixirs of camouflage to become untrackable and possibly also an elixir to track humanoids. Plan to be in Org for at least 10 hours so you have enough. You don’t “NEED” these but using them will cut the amount you are discovered drastically. The hunter trainers are right next to the valley of honor waterfall and so hunters will be there with their “track humanoids” ability on.
- 7.) If a horde approaches without seeing you, silently cancel the fishing cast straight away. DONT JUMP to cancel, you will make a splash noise right next to them. Just wait, don’t panic and 9 times out of 10 they’ll move off none the wiser.
- 8.) Avoid 5pm – 9 pm. Orgrimmar is rammed with people and often 2-3 purposefully come looking for fishers every 15-30 mins. Also, you will find it a lot easier to get into org after midnight.
- 9.) Night elves – shadowmeld and press X to sit down to move your characters head below the shallow water. Makes you nearly invisible even when “revealed”.
- 10.) Don’t try the going naked or in costume approach. It might dissuade some of the horde but it won’t stop the many school kids and lowbies taking the opportunity to down a higher lvl player. In my experience, most of the horde were in very good PvP gear and didn’t think twice before tab-attacking alliance players, regardless of their humorous equiptment.
- 11.) If you didn’t know, you can’t talk to horde players. Trying to reason with them is, as such, pointless. Even if you have a horde alt, it is equally pointless to log and ask them to leave you be. At one point a friend of mine tried this approach and they still attacked him 3 times in a row for the city defender achievement, each time promising not to do it again.
Hunter Tips:
Get your track humanoids on and aspect of the beast (to make you untrackable). Use your radar constantly (dont watch the bobber, listen for it). Make a special action bar with fishing cast, shadowmeld, freezing trap/freezing arrow , dismiss pet and summon pet. Your pet should be dismissed while fishing to reduce chances of being seen.
Everyone
To sum up, there is no reason to get a single ganking if you do this sensibly and it can be very fun. Try to be creative with pots, abilities, items and the environment, that is what WoW is all about. There are shrinking potions, invisibility potions, transfiguring potions etc. all of which can be used and abused in these sorts of challenges. There are hundreds of possibilities and the fun of this quest is trying lots of strategies right under the hordes nose!
thanks for the info.. i think im going to try /lay to hide when i go for this achieve
I've caught 800 fish/items in Orgrimmar today... many other achievements later, still no Old Crafty. FML.
So the story goes........
Server: Aerie Peak - Europe
Location: Orgrimmar (The Valley Of Honour)(Waterfall)
Stealthed in like a Rogue does ^^ and farmed Old crafty for 3-4 Hours
Outcome: No such luck.
Decided to pick up the daily "Crocolisk in the City" Quest from Old man Barlo in shatt, and after throwing the croc back on the 5 attempt..... Voila "Old Crafty" :D
I can confirm to anyone out there that this still works as of 23rd August 2009 22.40pm
Goodluck fellow anglers
the previous poster is totally right. i tried his suggestion and threw back the croc 5 times and about 5 minutes later, BOOM! old crafty!! i was standing at cord 36, 88 (behind the rock+tree in valley of spirits)
thanks for the advice. good luck everyone
-_- i been fishing for hours and i didnt loot the crocs wtf and still no fishy :p
Faction: Alliance - 73 Pally
DAY 1: Rode Naked to waterfall in Valley of Honor in Orgrimmar. Did not have daily Shatt fishing quest Crocolisks. Turned video setting to low, back against rock wall under waterfall, laid down, fished until four 16-slot bags were full of fish, got killed about 20 times by Horde, NO Old Crafty.
Hearthed out, read this thread, dumped bags, ported to Shatt, picked up daily Shatt fishing quest Crocolisks, turned off Auto Loot, set title to None, rode naked back to under waterfall, logged out.
DAY 2: Same location, fished but did not loot, caught Baby Crocolisk about every 5 to 10 casts, did not loot Baby Crocolisk, got killed by Horde about 10 times, NO Old Crafty.
Gave up, logged out in place under waterfall.
DAY 3: Abandoned Shatt daily fishing quest Crocolisks, turn on Auto Loot, got killed by Horde about 5 times, danced with and hugged a very attractive 80 female BElf pally, healed myself while a 25 orc lock leveled his weapon skills for about 5 minutes, had become a regular fixture/hostile NPC in Valley of Honor, filled one 16-slot bag with fish, finally caught Old Crafty.
Yelled "Woot!!" and hearthed out.
Summary: Not sure that the daily fishing quest helped or hurt my chances of catching Old Crafty. Did not seem to make a difference.
The location under the waterfall seemed to be a reasonable hidden safe location, EXCEPT the hunter trainers are on the cliff right above that location and I was visited/killed by a large number of hunters.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I'm pretty sure that the way to catch Old Crafty is to just keep fishing, dying and running back to your body.
Over 1600 fish caught, a couple lowbie potions, a shield, and eight 17-22 pound "held-in-off-hand" fish, and after 3 days and about 35 deaths, Old Crafty.
I do not have to do this achievement on any of my other toons.
I'm an 80 Human Mage and had to fish in Orgrimmar.
I ran through the back door of Org so as not to bring too much attention to myself.
I then /lay under the waterfall in The Valley of Honor.
I had to turn all my video settings to low so I could see where my bobber was.
It was also the day where the daily was to fish up the crock. (Unfortunately I already did the quest when I desided to go extreme fishing.)
2 hours, 1 death and leveled my fishing from 268-299. I finally got Old Crafty.
It seems to me to be about luck... nothing more. Have patience and you will catch him!
After catching Mr. Pinchy earlier today I decided I'll give old crafty a try also and guess my decision was good :>
After 3 hours of fishing behind waterfall in Vally of Honor I finally cought him.
Hordes ganked me only twice at start and then gave up I guess, or maybe they went to bed, it's 2.15 am afterall :D
im a level 16 undead and caught old crafty on my 65th cast!
i was waiting on my friend to get get back and figured id get my fishing up.
really unexpected didnt even know he was there lol.
