This is a lvl 41 elite that flys around the wyrmbog so noone can reach it to attack it!! Wel at least my druid couldnt reach it so how has anyone been able to fight it??

there are a few just south of onyxias lair that you can hit with any ranged attack

i have a hunter i wanted to see him up close so i shot it and he flew down i let my pet fight and i ran lol they are close to emberstrife its a lvl 61 elite im lvl 40 the one i fought was 42 but if it flys above you than you can shoot it easily lol so find him kill him and run!

  dude hes not level 60 hes just lvl 42. hes simple and drops nothing but useless garbage..

LoL my hunter could easy reach him. He is also not so hard beat when you are hunter ;)

if you climb to he top of the mountain by onyxias lair you can attack it [ you might need a mount]

As a lvl 45 mage, i thought i would take this guy on for a little challenge (i've soloed elites closer to my lvl before). However, i figured out very quickly that IT IS IMMUNE TO FIRE. i'm a fire-spec'd mage.
it wasn't pretty.

I was trying to climb mountains just out of reach for my druid. What a tease :(

my tauren shamman lvl 41 easily masacured this beast.
yeah, i had to heal a couple times. but since i can wear mail. it was alot easier than u wood have thought.

I was able to reach with my shaman by just standing on the ground and waiting for him to come close enough. Too bad after killing him twice all I got was a couple of forked tongues

Why bother killing this? I did it easy with 48 shadowpriest but you don't get anything for doing it... crap items? wtf... and anyone that can't climb the mountain to get to it didn't try hard enough... you're lazy... someone tell me if I'm wrong but does this really not drop anything decent? wtf

i have fought it go around the back of the mountain and find your way up use a range attack then melee it but theres no point they only drop two worthless items.

I have never had a hunter but the only reason I can think of that these things exist is so hunters can nab a cool pet, and feel good about themselves for doing it...unless hunters can not tame these, in which case they are indeed completely useless, that would be disappointing, but not surprising.

you get half the experience points killing this one as you do killing the non-elites around it.

Spawns at 53.5, 77.2 on top of the mountain at Onyxia's Layer. Don't need a mount to get up there if you have a Hunter with Aspect of the Cheetah, or Pack. Lvl 42 Elite easily solo'd with lvl 42 Hunter with Spider pet. Forked Tongue, Heavy Leather most of the time.

my mage and this hunter killed this dragon. he spawned right by Onyxia's lair. hunterd had to pull it because the thing was to far in the air for me. i think his pet was the tank.. we killed it but it dropped nothing but a lame poor item. they should have a blue of epic drop on this thing.
