Is it a waste of time to only take one of the two professions, or do you need both to make any money?
If you choose only alchemy, are you going to spend a ton of money buying the herbs to make your pots?
yes you are.. you can still make money its just gonna take you helluva lot longer..
i think that Alchemy and heebalism should be one prof same as BS and mining, enginneering and mining, JewelCrafting and mining and skinning and leatherworking cuz if u think about it its kinda Stupid lol what kind of person would take up Hebalism and not Alchemy duh... i know that this is a fantasy game but still it makes sense to make Herbs and alch together
it all depens on if you have more char. I have a lock 70 and she is a herbalist/tailor, now i made a druid and she i going for Alchemy. The herbs for new char needed will be very easy to farm and get her with the lock on epicmount. lol.

obi1, plenty of people take up herbalism and don't choose alchemy, because herbalism is a profitable gathering profession.
