First five points, must, Must, MUST go to spirit tap if you plan to solo your way to seventy. As you get farther down the shadow tree, you will get access to nice new spells..mind blast, mind flay will become your bread and butter.

Later, pick up shadowform and never look back. DoT's are your friend, don't forget to love your dots, use 'em often. The other talents you get, spell hit increase damage increase vampiric embrace, vampiric touch, all very useful things.

As for the person above, saying spriests level slower than others, he must be talking other cclasses because shadow priests level the fastest of the three specs, on average.
