what would go best with an enchanter?
i dont even know if any other professions would help enchanting?
Tailoring, imo. Easily farmable mats and created items disenchant to help further your enchanting. :)
heres a q...can u unlearn a profession? i've learned herbalism and i want rid so i cn become a tailor.
and also cn u post HOW to unlearn a profession plz
tailoringis best, because you can make green items to disenchant at like tailoring 40 or sumthing.
you can unlearn a profession by clicking on it in your charector menue, click on skills, then the proffession, then the little redthing next tothe skill bar.
Best with enchanting?
Actually, anything.
Enchanting requires a lot of mats, but most of those mats will come from disenchanted (DE) drops and crafted items, or from the AH. A small fraction will come from vendors.
I'm a "farmer" with primary skills in mining and skinning. However, through all my running around and farming nearly anything that generates a decent gold-flow, I loot a LOT of gear and weapons...ALL of which gets DE'd. I have more enchanting mats than I will ever use to have my own gear enchanted, and I have sold tons more than I currently have.
Crafting (leatherworking, tailoring, Blacksmithing, and Jewelcrafting) are also good ways of creating your own items to DE and enchant to help boost your skill level. However, crafting skills require a good gold-flow for purchasing other mats. So, you're spending money. Whereas a farmer, who is out there gathering mats on the fly, isn't spending anything.
So, IMO, having a farming skill (mining, skinning, herbing) will help you in gathering items to DE for mats because you're bound to run into mobs. It will also generate the gold-flow needed in those cases where you have to buy mats for your skill.
Tip for Farming: Never pass up a kill or loot. You never know what's going to drop. And, if you're leaving grey items laying around, it's wasted gold from the vendor...especially in Outlands.
I would say mining.. ! good money !
Push "K" buttom, left click "Herbalism", Left click unlearn this profession. "yes"
My enchanter has mining, but I'd say any gathering profession would work well with enchanting. It's a very expensive profession to level and work with, so it's nice to be able to make extra money while just adventuring and questing.
I would have to agree with any gathering profession im a chanter/miner and i leveling up it was very nice to have a gathering profession to make money as you level
I'm a skinner to go along with enchanting. I think its nice because you can't make stuff to DE, but you can sell leather at AH and with that money buy greens to DE.
i think tailoring is the best costs nothing to lvl eigther of these realy cept money u nvr even saw just D E any green u come across and farm your own cloth
B T W as priviously sayd tailoring makes greens so u can lvl enchanting faster with tailoring
HORDE FOR LIFE
Look at your chars skills tab -> there s a small button to unlearn skills there. After you have unlearned, you can obtain a new skill.
Do you have any idea how expensive Blacksmithing costs? To level you would most certainly need mining for Blacksmithing! Not Blacksmithing with enchanting, you would pay so much for the mats that when you DE'd it,you would lose so much gold it would be unreal.
As mentioned before, the best skill that would go with enchanting would be any desired gathering skill. Enchanting costs a little extra, and if you're going to have one more skill to get items and blabla with... it will just get really expensive.
And well, if you say crafting skills doesn't cost that much, think again. If you would have enchanting and tailoring you must do these sacrifices:
Instead of selling greens and maybe blues on the AH, you must DE them and waste rather much money if it isn't a blue soulbound stuff that requires level 70.
You must search out these items for DE. Instances is of course the most easy way, but you don't get very good reputation by playing as a ninja. Sometimes if none need the thing you could maybe have it, but you must need things to have them when you're going instances. People can get angry and frustrated so it's a little hard.
If you for example have tailoring as a second profession, you must buy threads and stuff. You must also go to places and get items. This will of course take of your time, and you never really get anything out of it, exept a higher enchanting skill.
You wont get much money in these ways, if you aren't high levelled, both in skills and level so this wont be your best choice...
Pick skinning, mining or herbalism and you wont loose especially much money and time. You can gain stuffs for your gathering skill when you are doing quests, going instances (different for different skills) and just grinding. Much, much better if you ask me...
What class would go good with enchanting? Warlock,Mage,Druid, ect.
I had tailoring from the start so i could DE the created items.
Since all the cloth drops from mobs there easy to get and your lvl grows steadily on both.
Now i have dropped tailoring (since i am pally and dont use cloth) and gotten herbalism.
This farming proffession made me lots of gold allready and my enchanting is at 374 ATM.(only one more to go)
Over all i guess tailor/enchanter is the best thing to start with.
After the lvl is high enough get another instead of tailoring(unless youfre a cloth wearer ofc).
Just my two cents.
Arathot. Aerie peak
my mage is a enchanter and tailo. it works out fine. although i guess mining and enchanting would be a great combo for getting gold fast.
To start for enchanting tailor is probably the best second profession..especially if you are a cloth wearer..however once you get over 225 in enchanting Leatherworking is something you may want to consider switching to instead of tailor...why you ask? Because of the base mats needed for craft recipes. I have both a LW and tailor high end ea of the recipes for cloth uses bolts of cloth in multiples and ea bolt takes multiple cloth to make. LW like tailors make greens that can be DE'd they also have the multiple items "condensed" so to speak like bolts of cloth..but it appears to me starting at the 225 range the leather items seem to get more DE mats per item for base materials...all that make sense? In short (cloth+mats= green or blue item for DE= enchant mats) (leather+mats=green or blue item for DE= enchant mats) the LW stuff per mat seems to yield higher lvl enchant mats.
you sohuld be a tailorer and a enchanter. Y? you can make iteams that you can de to get mats for enchanting. You are basically geting mats for really cheap. Since cloth drops off of npc's and things. You are really only spending money on thread and patterns... So i would say that I am curently a 293 tailorer and 231 enchanter. good luck!!!

any gathering prof im herb but any gathering is good u just need something to finance your chanting so w/e u feel like doin i guess but what ever u choose if u r a chanter too i wouldnt be passing up on any gold dots u see on your mini map n make good friends with the AH surf it n bid on all cheap bids that u can afford coz u aint winnin em all.. if u actually play the game(anti ebayer grrr) n dont have a 70 financing your lower chars n u choose enchanting n r serious about it prepare for hrs of farming whatever it is u choose erb mine or skin (also try to join a guild that u can run instances with as ofter as possible your first question should be how many active ppl my lvl) ....coz no one wants your lower chants n u will find unless u r giving it away to ppl or jus rechanting same item chanting IS going to cost u now ...but rewards later r worth it :)

I am a level 375 enchanter and level 375 tailor. While other professions may support enchanting via selling mats on the AH and therfore giving you the gold to buy BOEs to d/e, at later enchanting levels, tailoring is best because you can d/e gear that you create to turn into shards, greater planar essence, and arcane dust, all of which are mats for higher level enchants. Usually this comes with little or not cost other than buying the thread.
You will also find gear BOE drops while farming, questing, raiding, etc. that you can d/e, but this is not a reliable way to ensure a sufficient supply of mats for your enchanting profession. You'd have to buy BOEs from the AH in that case. Tailoring is definitely the way to go since cloth is abundant on humanoids throughout Outlands (Azeroth for lower-level mats).
You can also d/e items made via JC but that profession is best in conjunction with mining since it requires ore for smelting bars or prospecting into gems.
Get a mod to show you the rate of enchant mats that will come from a certain item. There are mods, too, that will give you a value estimate of the enchant mat once you have visited the AH and scanned for that item.
Primals are also used in higher level enchants, but no profession will yeild these (other than the rare drop of a mote here and there via mining). You'd have to farm for those.
Another tip for leveling your enchanting: you can enchant your own gear over and over and still get experience until that enchant is gray. Unless you only need 1 more level, I wouldn't bother with green level enchants for leveling purposes. You can also enchant gear that you're not wearing, such as in your guild bank. Others who pick up the gear later on may appreciate the extra stats.
Good luck to you!
