Buy cook books - if Alliance see Shandrina (50,66) in Ashenvale by Mystral Lake - sells for 90s.  If Horde - see Wulan in Desolace (26,69) - again sells for 90s.  This will take you to 225.  Then off the Dirge in Gadgetzan (butcher in inn) sends you on a quest to get 3 items (12 giant eggs - owlbeasts in the Hitnerlands; 10 zesty clam meat - saltwater snapjaws in Tanaris and 20 Alterac cheese - buy from a cheese vender in Stormwind City 5 for 40s) - return to get Artisan cookbook which will take you to 300.

Or just go to any auction house, and search "cook" or "cook book" you will find 2 cook books... one for lvl 225 and one for like over 300, i suggest buying both.

Buy the cook books at AH only if you like being ripped off.  Let's see...90s from vendor or 3g from some jerk for the expert cookbook.  It's not so hard to fly to Desolace or do a quest. 

Let's see... 1/2 hour getting from SW to the middle of Kalimador....  or 1/2 minute of farming Outlands....  It's soooo much easier to just send my alt the gold. Thank god some jerk on the AH wasted *HIS* time flying all over the place.

You know what...I tried. I spent a few hours trying to get to the  books.No luck.i checked the map to find the vendor that had the books and he seems to be on the bloody mountains.Please tell me how i can get there cause i tried but apart from dying a few times didn't manage anything else.

Yeah - If you can get the gold easier, just buy em.

For Horde, the cookbook is in Shadowprey village in Desolace.  As you stand in front of the inn, there is a multi-story structure on your right.  Cookbook is at the very top, you can't see from the ground that anyone is up there.

Ya I agree... 3g isnt bad especially if you have a high lvl char. But I just checked the AH and omg...10g for a expert cook book I would rather fly to ashenvale and ride on out to mystral lake and pick the book up for 90s than give that dork 10g.... imo

Ok.. you are looking for a place called "Silverwind Refuge" in Ashenvale. The exact coords are 49,67 but for those of you without coords you head east out of Astranaar keep going quite a ways till you come to a spot where you see a bench with a book on it to the left of the road... continue up the road a bit you see a path on the right that leads down to the furbolgs. Follow the darkened path until you come to Silverwind Refuge and look for the trades vendor .... GL
