if a lv 70 death knight with crappy gear could beat my lv70 warlock im going to be pissed
If u read the post left by the Murloc guy (forgot the whole name) you would have read some of the POSSIBLE spells he/she would have. 1 of which is very simliar to that of a locks DRAIN LIFE. If you read what he has posted, it says that it will kinda be like a DEBUFF that will prevent u from healing urself, or get healed, or bubbled. IF you do get any one of those, 50% of that POSSIBLE heal/bubble will be taken as DMG, and NO you will not get the heal. So in short, vs locks, they shudnt be able to pwn you. You dont heal urself anyways, cept for ur HS. Which brings up the question, can u use pots with that debuff?
Also, the "debuff" itself is ONLY 6 secs. I know, 6 secs is enough time to get ur ass handed to, BUT its 6 secs. Just like the time for a pallies HoJ and Repentance, a KS from a rogue, etc, u get my drift. Just like how ppl have found out ways to get around these "stunlocks" where they cant do anything in those moments, plp will find ways to work this spell as well. The thing that should be asked tho is can it be dispelled? I dont think it can be a reg dispell, but maybe with MASS DISPEL? Like a pally bubble or a mage ice block?
As for this class DOMINATING other classes, notice how things do EVENTUALLY become balanced? It takes time to get it tested (IRL - ingame that is) and enough ppl to QQ and QQ about it b4 they make the change. If this CLASS (not RACE) does NOT use mana, but RUNES, then whos to say it will be OP? We dont even know how many "RUNES" they will be allowed to use in a given time, and how they are regenerated/made! The only classes (with the info gather from here n other sites about the spells) that may get FUKED UP by the DK are healing classes that are SPECD for healing (ie holy/disc priests, holy pallies, resto shams/druids, etc.). If they time the debuff at the right time, those classes can get PWNED in the face. BUT, please DO NOT assume this will happen and stay that way. In PVP, ppl will ALWAYS find a way to counter, n im sure it will be the same for this case.
For those of you that are complaining about the LVL 80 quest chain... (All assumptions of course) We have PLENTY of time to lvl. Like a few ppl mentioned here on thott, and on other sites, there is 1 more patch B4 the XPac will be out. Given the time Blizz would wanna wait till they release the FINAL patch of TBC, im sure it will be a ways from now. Some say 6 months (06/08-07/08), i think it may be even later. IF this is the case, lets just say 07/08, this gives u 7 MONTHS, yes SEVEN MONTHS! If u cant lvl a char u already have to 70 in 7 MONTHS, let alone a lvl 1 to 70 in SEVEN MONTHS, then u need to quit n try a new game. I understand there are casual gamers out there, but to reach the 70 mark (JUST the 70 mark) is very easy to do! The path from 70-80 IS THE SAME FOR EVERYONE! THEY WILL ALL NEED TO LVL WITH YOU! This is just like when TBC came out... we all got to lvl at the same time. Sure ppl had t3 gear at that time, same shit now. Ppl will have t6 gear... IT JUST MAKES IT EASIER FOR THEM SINCE THEY PUT IN THEIR TIME TO GET IT! So again, instead of QQ'ing about reaching a lvl that can easily be reached, please JUST GO LVL!
Lastly, why cant ppl READ????? I know its all "rumors" and what ppl assume and what not, but serious guys, whats with the same questions comin up every few posts? /sigh. For those of u with ADD, last time, DEATH KNIGHTS ARE A CLASS, not a RACE. This means u can pick any RACE, and pick the CLASS 'DEATH KNIGHT'. At least until Blizz picks which races they want the class to fall under. And the rumor is the START LVL is 55-70... the ACTUAL lvl is not released.
