OK, my turn to be a fanboy :^)

Leave the kitty and raptor at home when you group up and get your wolf out.  The DPS that one pet does over another is marginal at best in dungeons and you are better off giving some attack power to your group with a useful buff to get the mob down sooner.

In short, the melee players will love the wolf for the ferocious howl buff - think of him as a totem with paws :-D .  Also, casters will love the wolf too since a wolf can off-tank better than a cat or raptor without getting chewed up as much.
