As a elixir master I use these all the time to make flasks, hope for procs, and then sell the flasks for 40 gold in ah.  Fel lotus sells for about 20 gold a piece in ah, anyone know where the best drop rate for fel lotus is?

I'm a 390 herbalist. Fel lotus is a random drop when picking any herbs in the Outlands. Theres no pattern to its drop it just comes off of any  type of plant. So far i have recieved about 10 Fel Lotus in the last 2 months. I do herb picking everyday that I'm on.

Yeah, as a Tauren he can be 390.  Racial passive is +15 to herbalism.

I have gathered a lot of Herbs over the past 3-4 weeks without getting any Fel Lotus at all, but the past 2 days I have gotten 4 of them.
Do any of you know if the drop rate has been increased ? I'm making flasks for our raids, and with an AH price of 50g it is putting a bit of strain on our guildbank...

ive gotten 5 fel lotus in my first 2 days of outland farming.. on my server (Doomhammer) on alliance side there going for about 38g a piece.. so ya i love herbalism :P

everyone i know says the droprate went down.. thats why the price of them doubled.. i guess we just got lucky for those few days.. cause i havent gotten any in the past 3 days.. ive only been a 375 herber for 5 days

I have also found that the fel lotus drop from the elite tree guys in Skettis.  I got 3 fel lotus in about 30 mins with 2 of them dropping on 1 tree.  These guys are fast kills and after 1 round of killing I get 1 primal, and 1 stack of herbs for 5 mins of work.  Respawn time is about 5 mins and then you just repeat.  Very easy money maker.

In the last week alone I have found 10 fel lotus.

can anyone post the coords for the elite tree guys in skitties, I have searched that entire area without locating a single one, are they actual tree people like a drood or guys that chill in trees?

Skettis is only reachable if you have a flying mount.  Fly to Allerian Post and go directly up the mountains to the Skyguard post and Skettis.

These elites are level 72 and wander around both sides of the small lake in the middle of Skettis.  This is the area you do some of the early dailies for Skyguard rep too.  Oh, and there are the Skettis Surgers that have a great drop rate for motes of water also around this small lake....
