ive gotten 1 step further- the race. i wanna be a blood elf but i dont know which class to pick. they all are cool in my opinion, and it's driving me crazy, not being able to pick!

Paladin is probably the only class BE is really good for.

To be honest I don't have a high opinion of BE hunters and rouges. There are much better races you could pick for these classes, so I assume the person only choose BE for their looks. (I play a BE priest. I wish I'd gone UD again.)

As for mages, priests and warlocks... there aren't a lot of great races for casters on the horde side, though BE and UD are probably the two most people pick.

Pally is probably your best choice.

OK due look i play a BE the best class is a palladain ok but i have to say they are good & cool in other classes but with those classes the racail sucks be a palidain so u can silance & get a hella good amount of mana & they're good (VERY) good with rogues but pallys (i think) are better.

mage they rock and look cool if u r a bloodelf and they own every1 in battlegrounds if ur the right lvl

But honestly if ur gonna be a blood elf be a rogue as the racials are gd for rogues at any lvl as it recharges 2 thirds of ur energy if u have mana tapped 3 times which is really useful if ur against multiple mobs and u don't have adreniline rush. Also rogues have the best melee dps in the game and they have the lest downtime due to the fact that they don't use mana. You just badage then ur ready to fight again.

Pally's are "default" the perfect class for Blood Elves.  All Resistance, Mana Tap, and Arcane Torrent are all defensive moves really benefits a pally which aswell works great for any class consuming Mana. 

A rogue will benefit from those moves except recieving mana back from arcane torrent.  It sucks that blood elves cant be warriors, CHARGE and ARCANE TORRENT, would be nasty; thats 4 sec. of free beatings on squishies.


Truthfully, Blood Elves are best throughout their selection of classes. which is also upsetting because all the other races have their own certain disadvatanges with their classes and Blood Elves seems to fit very well with all their classes with no downs........

If you wish to choose the Race before the class, and you choose BE, it is because what matters to you is not the playability, but the look of you character.
Honestly, you have a great chance of abandoning the char later, since you won´t like to play with it.

Considering that the BE racials are mana tap and arcane torrent, you´ll see that, in general, all other races have better ones for almost all classes.

If you want to be a pally, you have no other choice, you must be a BE, since it´s the only race with this class.

If you want to be a Rogue, mana tap and arcane torrent are useful, since you can replenish your energy once in a while and you can silence a caster that you are beating. (But honestly, if you successfully get close to a caster, will they have time to cast anything before you kill them?). For Rogues, Undead have will of the forsaken, which is formidable on BG´s, Orcs can hit harder and Trolls can hit faster.

If you want to be a caster, you will make no use of the racials, since the mana replenishing from arcane torrent and mana tap are ridiculous on higher levels, and you will never be close to a target to silence them. All other classes prevail on casting, in terms of racials. BUT, Blood elves have higher natural INTELECT and SPIRIT then all other races, what can be an acceptable excuse to make one.

And if you want to be a BE hunter... well, no comments.

By the way, I have a 70 Blood Elf mage, and if I could, I would change it to a troll one...
