Ok since last game was too easy here is another.
One person askes a pvp related question. First person to answer correctly gets to ask a question to see if anyone knows the answer.
1st question is this:
You are watching a duel beween a level 50 night elf hunter and a level 50 gnome warrior.
Just before the duel starts the hunter fades from sight, no doubt to avoid charge. The warrior moves in to where the hunter was standing but cannot find the hunter.
After a few seconds the hunter appears 41 yards away from the warrior and starts shooting.
Q. How did the hunter pull this off?
Hey gorgog dude if nobody answers in 24 hours you have to tell what it is cos I'm curious as hell.
Lol ok. Its pretty easy I think ppl just dont want to play. Ill do and easier one though tomorrow if no answer.
cloaking devise....from enginnering...
its the gnomish cloaking devise it goes on ur back and u have to have a enginnering skill of 220 and be gnomish WOOT i win :P
sorry it is a trinket its not a cloak :P
Shaddowe got it first so gets to ask next question. :)
If not its Wilburt's turn for getting it right 2nd.
Either form of invis allows the hunter to move away while looking like he used only shadowmeld.
Was thinking trinket which is also very good for healers as it can be used in combat and only brakes at the end of a heal so you can get a heal off invis.
Reckon after 12hrs of answer being confirmed next question should be posted if possible.
Got a PvP question for us Wilburt?
alright...ughhh let me think....(this will probly be lame)
so a druid and a hunter meet each other and duel.the hunter sends his pet AND MAKES IT LIKE 5 TIMES BIGGER AND RED!!!if u know how he did this be the first so we can continue the fun ty :D( i know its horrible)
Bestial Wrath 31 point BM talent. :)
Me again (erm unless I got it wrong).
Quote from a mage on beating a warlock:
"Step 1: poly pet
Step 2: counter spell
Step 3: fireblast
Step 4: fireball
Step 5: frost nova
Step 6: fireball
Step 7: fire blast,
needless to say easy win vs locks a lock without a pet is useless as a sack of rotting potatos"
Q. Will this work? If not at what step would it fail and why?
P.S. Ignore this question if my answer was wrong. :P
congratz u were right!!! we have a winner :P
poloymorphing pets can only works on beasts not on demons i think...
so is can not work cause u can not polymorph demons :P
Your turn. Im off to bed.
lol at my house it is like 5:00 let me think and i will get back to u
ok there is a priest and he casts a shadow spell against a player 2 lvls lower than him he casts the spell but does not die..after 18 sec. he gets hit without even being touched by anyone for 600 damage..where did it come from and why?if u now u get a cookie :D
(i think this a tough one)
Hmm this is a good one. Unstable affliction and shadow word death first comes to mind but both would do damage instantly and not after 18secs and dispel isnt a shadow spell. :(
Shadow reflector could be used but priest doesnt have a shadow spell that does delayed damage like that.
Damn was thinking maybe levitate > fall damage but that isnt shadow either. :(
Maybe some item use. Well Im stumped, Ill try and give it another go b4 24hrs are up or someone else answers 1st.
Ruddy good question though. :)
Lol, dont suppose its a trick question and he is underwater?^^
i is shadow word death gratz i thought it was after 18 sec if the character does not die they receive 588-something (he got 600)gratz we have another winner!!!
No time this weekend so just popping in with answer.
Option is to display player health bars (Ctrl+V I think). With this on you can see where your opponents are through objects. If they go right you go left and visa versa. :)
Since I am not on over the weekend Ill not post a question so if anyone wants to feel free to carry on the game.
Have a good weekend.
dont have a question yet going 2 have lunch brb
cant think of a question... lol
An easy one.
Q. Why may a druid not want to use their 41 point resto talent when there is an enemy warlock around?
Okay I'm gonna take a wild guess just to show participation. I reall have no idea honestly.
By 41 resto talent point you mean tree of life right? Is it because facing a warlock you need to use stunlock to disrupt the warlock's curse spells as much as possible, which cannot be done or very inconvenient when you're a tree? Or is it because Chuck Norris says so?
No its because I say so! ;)
Tree is the talent but not the right answer. Check thott forum on tree of life though, should be the answer there. :)
P.S. I met Chuck Norris once while shoping in Germany, he was buying a kite for his son I think. :)
Yup. I was sure there was a post ages ago aswell but luckly someone recently posted there.
Banish is like cyclone but only works on elementals and demons.
Works well vs demo lock so they lose soul link etc. Also works vs frost mage water elemental.
Im from the UK. Was years ago and bumped into him in a toy model shop in Munich but I was too shy to talk to him, it was Chuck Norris after all!
Not much of a claim to fame is it? Hehe, your turn for the question.
Oh so when you're a tree you're an elemental. I get it. Well I don't have any quiz-like question about PVP. You can consider my warlock's banish spell a question. But to keep it going I'm gonna ask something out of topic. Since you're based in Europe you just might know.
What do you call a McDonald's Quarter Pounder with Cheese in Paris?
PS. The only notable famous person I've seen in person is Wes Borland the ex guitarist from Limp Bizkit when he came to my town earlier this year. He did some weird stuff with his guitar but he still rocked.
Ack fast food makes me want to puke. Quarter pounder I think though...
Hmm... so what is the song "Like a Virgin" all about? ;)
Hehe, better not answer that one... gotta dash, tc.
Alright you just go ahead ask the next question to keep the game going.
(this is gonna suck)
so a rogue goes to get the enemy flag but right when he gets it he is gone and the flag is back in the base how did this happen?(he DID NOT DIE) :P
I can't answer the questions. But... I lived in germany 6 yrs Hanua and Wiesbaden as dep even married there. Doesn't help my gaming knowledge though.
Hi kamoori, ever been to the october fest in Munich? I love the city and have always wanted to go but never been there at the right time.
Wilburt is the answer he was queued up to another BG and accepted? Or maybe he stealthed (that would result in just dropping the flag though)?
P.S. I know there is no "best" class atm but what do you guys think about dwarf priest. Currently I am thinking it could be the most wanted atm in pvp and pve. Well worth making one for end game although priest can be a bit dull to level.
Beer fest =)
Why priest and why dwarf to be the most wanted at the moment?
Explained my thoughts on combo more in "priest racials and shadow" on priest forum.
For PvE DPS classes tend to be very common while good tanks and healers tend to be more in demand.
In arena, as the game is now, priests do well in all three brackets while shaman and paladins seem less popular in 2v2s and 3v3s and druids in 5v5s. Though this isnt to say they dont have a place in these brackets.
May also be worth considering what talents a level 80 char can have since next year that should be the level cap. Although talent trees will most likely get a complete overhaul and there should be new talents there is no harm in planning out a 71 point build for the future if you are starting a character now.
With pain suppresion a priest can make a good pvp healer and with 71 points in shadow you can have blackout, silence, vamp embrace, mind flay, lower CD on psychic scream and good instant damage that you can fire and forget and carry on healing.
Pure theorycraft past the level 70 point ofc. so probably of no value, who knows? It is however a good class/race combo atm for both pve and pvp.
gorgog u were right he dropped the flag and stealthed cause the opposing team were coming ahead to him then the other team returned the flag and began searching for him ur turn gorgog
Getting hard to think up questions. :)
You are playing a shaman and dueling a druid a cookie cutter build pvp resto druid. All your spells are ready but you are getting pewpewed and need to heal. Druid is in bear form.
Q. Do you go for the heal straight away or take some other action first, and if so what action?
(actually there are potentially two answers that would be ok)
um... u somehow stun or do something than you heal then u cast a healing spell and then a totem hat can heal you(lol i am not very specific am i :P)
Ah forgot to mention your an orc shaman so no warstomp. :P
P.S. Healing totem doesnt heal for s$^* and isnt going to save you. (even resto druids do more then 50dps).
Nature's swiftness + Chain Heal (which heals a lot)
You're a rogue (in an arena), and there's a warlock hitting you with DoTs. He then proceeds to drain your life. Unfortunately, cloak of shadows is on cooldown. Do you
a) Vanish
b) run behind a pillar
EDIT: c) go up to him and gouge him
Obvious question, I know, but I've never been inside any high level battleground....
Hmm, c? Since life drain once cast continues through pillars and vanish would no remove DoTs so you would soon apear again w/o cloak of shadows.
I would probably prefer to try to kick him out the shadow tree though as that would hurt more then gouge, no?
Yes, you do indeed go up to him and kick him....ask a question
In WoW what is ment by the term "moon walking" and is it really viable in pvp (if not why not)?
Ah, forgot about this.
Its a way to kite. By moving to the right and turning view left then moving left quickly (or visa versa) you can walk backwards as fast as you usually walk forwards.
Usually only any good vs mobs though as it isnt easy to pull off and you can end up losing more time then if you just circle or jump kite.
Guess its my turn again then.
Q. Why is /target so useful in WSG for a pet class?
