Okay, so as of right now I am an arms warrior I think like 43/18 or something close.  I have the poleaxe specialization and a 2h axe...now I'm gettin ready to get and upgrade with season 1 weapons.  I'm wondering, should I stay arms and get the 2h axe or should I go fury and get 1h swords/axes?  It seems like both have great benefits but all in all I want to do the most damage possible.  Anyone have any advice on which weapon choice, and exactly how to spec for max damage?

you do more damage in PVE as fury spec, while arms is better for pvp, imo

i think u can kill a single oponent faster with fury
but i think arms is better in pvp because it has almost the same dmg overall, can kill clothies v fast and most important MS. which is important in arenas imo.

Obviously he has already bypassed 60 if he is getting season 1 gear. If he was going to go protection at 60 it is already too late, since he is 70. If you are going to give advise, first pay attention to what is said, second make sure you know what you are talking about.

i find arms less frustrating to deal with due to the low miss, dodge and parry rates that accompany it though i guess fury balances out due to the increased attack speed and rage generation

i like both arms AND fury. it defenetly is DPS over tanking tho. 31/30/0 is a really good spec. i personally find this to be the best warrior spec for DPS although im sure there are better ones.

lol hes right you pretty much bragd about how bad a** fury warriors are hehe i am a fury warrior and pwn everyone around my gear lvl lol and yes i to am a pvp warrior but in general ARMS!!! best for pvp.PROT!!! best for group work. FURY!!! best for lvling simple as that i know that a fury pwns in pvp i do very well but its simple fact arms is best do to their instant hard hits and infact you even said and i agrre with you that "you must know what your doing fury spec is a little complcated" but arms isnt easy but has a more basic fight style so in general arms is better for most ppl

well im a lvl 29 twink warrior. i lvl'd up using fury great rage for pve, but when i hit 29 i switched to corpsemaker and arms spec.... best thing i ever did for pvp... i  researched which would be better fury duel wield or arms 2 hand. i could beat everything with a noob lvl 5 2h axe with like 5 dps.... but could not beat them with thornspikex2 20 dps 8 agi daggers. so when i switched to arms n corpsemaker i was ripping down tree's :P.

and ... arms is great for stealing kills, perfect for pvp :P... lol you take like 50% of there health in one shot so its great zoomin from one guy to the other getting uber kills..  arms is very impressive very effective and alot easyer to play than fury...

Forget fury and arms and go protection! Definatley best warrior talent tree in the game if you want to survive.

I like 5 fury points for cruelty in fury line and then i'd say 41 points in protection talents ( 10 of them definatkey in anticipation and toughness!) then the rest in arms talents!

I think for pve and dungeon raiding this is the best combo especially if you intend to raid and be the main tank!

My Orc warrior has this build and is pretty unstoppable!

arms is not to good for pve but rox for pvp but i just switch fury and i like it alot its really fun u do alot of damage in like instances and its prettty kool for pvp

Here is the what I can tell you:

Arms:

Arms is the BURST class: It relies heavily on highdamage supplemented by a swing rotation including slam, whirlwind and mortal strike: In terms of PVE it's maximum efficiency is not reached until Black Temple/Mount Hyjal, but does become a significant booster in 25 man raids such as SSC and TK...

As an anecdote: Arms DOES become the Best PVE spec for DPS in black temple BUT only if it is given the appropriate support

PVP wise Arms is your best bet (unless you're one of those crazy prot warriors that get 8k shield slam crits (still not very arena viable))

Mortal Strike IS the warrior's defining PVP talent -> no other class has an INSTANT healing debuff like a warriors (hunters aimed shot is casted and rogue posions take time to apply)

Fury:

Fury is a SUSTAINED dps specialization, it relies heavily on Attack Power, Crit Chance and weapon speed/type

Fury is NOT A viable PVP spec: sorry for those who are interested but NO you're not going ANYWHERE in an arena as fury (unless you're swifty)

PVE wise however, fury is the shining glory of a warriors DPS up to and around Black Temple, while I do recommend staying as fury in Black temple, Arms can (if appropriately used) provide more DPS to the raid:

What you spec is up to you: I'm just here to provide a fair and balanced input

Arms is meant to be for PvP use mostly because of the burst damage, that burst damage would cause too much aggro, as for Fury, it is meant mostly for PvE because although u hit less harder than a Arms warrior, u do around the same damage over the same time period because u attack alot quicker especially with flurry procs. That damage gets somewhat spread out similar to DoTs. But Fury can make a viable PvP spec if used correctly. A 31/30 MS Dual Wielding spec is actually quite effective, especially against casters (Prisets, Locks) because of Death Wish which will make u immune to fear for 30 secs. Since ud be dual wielding ud interrupt their casting alot similar to a rogues ability to do so. Plus the MS debuff reduces Healing by 50%. Bloodthirst is not meant for PvP.

So in conclusion, MS build whether 2 handed or dual wielding ( if used correctly), Bloodthirst for PvE only.

I had 41/19/0 but last Nov I went to the newly touted one like 3?/3?/? but I have gone bac to 41/19, and I'm happy again, until I decide for fun to DW. I respec like a woman changes clothes, guess cuz I am.

the best way to lv as a warrior is to go FURY till 40 cause thats when u get Mortal Strike.... stay with MS till 70 then if ya wanna go PVE its eaiser to go prot cause less tanks than DPS but PVP its MS all the way

arms i like better for lvling you guys say fury is better for rage regen but as arms i dont run out of rage, i have imp charge which helps, and i never have to stop killing either, and i kill things just fine

WOW......all i've gotten from this is Arms rocks/ no Furry rocks!....i am still torn between the two.  i want to pick one main talent tree to build up...i have a prot pally and now i want a dps warrior.....

PLEASE, just tell me, which one is better for lvling up to lvl 60, dealing the most damge (2hnd or DW), and which is better for PvE!!!!!!        please  comment to this  =/

The most obvious answer to dis question is level up Arms AND Fury. I got a 12/17/0 warrior and generate rate like a mf, high dps like a mf, and got mads crit. Prot spec iz for beeches.

kmon man ..it's simple ,
if u wanna pvp then go arms , something like 31/30 or 33/28. great dps impressive hits
if u want to tank instances go protection
if u want to dps in instances and farm really fast go fury

there is nothing stopping u from lvl-ing as a fury then go arms/fury or prot

Ok someone posted that 31/30/0 was one of the best specs. as a 2h warrioir at 70 i CANNOT agree more. with flurry procing like every 2 hits i completely tore through ANYONE who stood in my way. im sure ill get alot of negative comments for it but its SOOOO fun to watch as you crit once then attack like a 1 hand weapon but hit for 1k
