you say cats  can prowl , wind serpents cann't , but prowl for the most part is a pointless , and useless ability, big deal it can stealth  unless your a N. elf hunter who can shadow meld what diffrence does that make , and the damage from prowl is a 1 time use per combat, which negates the effectivness of the ability...now if prowl was more like a vanish then a traditional stealth that might make its value go up.

Also cats don't have lightnign breath..lightning breath is armor piricing as well as ranged. does not matter if it is a druid in bear form with 32k armor, does not matter, because the armor is bypassed..with cats that armor would render the cats claw/bite relitivly useless damage wise. but if you still prefer cats i'd say  still dump the cat for a ravager there damage is better , and there armor too. cats are soo obsolete.

      'Prowl is pointless'

You haven't done much soloing with hunter have you? I have a wind serpent I normally use, and a cat I use for harder quests. By harder I mean caves, instances etc. Point is? Put your pet on passive and prowl. You run between mobs, feign, shadowmeld, repeat. You get to what you need close to as fast as a stealthing class. And good part is that if you aggro, you always have your cat by you to fight. Try that with another pet. You have to dismiss it after every group of mobs.
Plus, pets don't have to stay by you. In pvp you can put a prowled cat by flags to defend. They dont see it. And they die. Simple.
How hard can it be to learn to use abilities?
