My first character had enchanting and tailoring, and I made virtually nothing until I got to about level 40 with roughly 170 in each skill. I'm just learning how to make money it would seem, as before I was a total noob.
Now I'm making loads, disenchanting green drops yields enchant materials that will sell for more than the item itself would have done, and the amount of green drops I get means that I don't have to sacrifice levelling my enchant ability to sell mats too much.
This also stacks pretty well with tailoring since you don't need a gathering profession to tailor, and you can disenchant anything green you make for more mats to sell.
So far I haven't made a lot from selling actual enchants, probably because at my skill level theres nothing that people actually want.
I reckon I'll make a lot more when I hit those higher levels though.
