you lose threat over the 5 seconds as your turning invisible

then when the 5 seconds is up your COMPLETLY invisible
then it gets you otu of combat so u can drink and eat

the only downside is you cant see anyone else untill u come out

which means u have no idea if a mob or another player is in front of you

thnx, but can u move while invisible? if u could, wouldnt that be a viable arena tactic? have ur friend lure them to u, u sneak behind em n attack?

Yes, you can move around while being invisible. Great if you have to avoid enemies in instances.

i'm pretty sure when you're in a grp if u use it u can still see ur other grp members it sux tho when mobs can see thru invisibility those you'll still be able to see rite before they kill u lol

A mage using invisibility is somewhat like a rogues vanish or a hunters feign death.  Only not as effective as not getting killed in a wipe or getting away from mobs.  It takes 5 seconds for it to take effect.  If your in a 25 man raid and it wipes, you can throw this up and hopefully not get hit within the 5 seconds and when he resets you will be alive among hunters and rogues.  Or if you are PVEing you can frost nova whatever is about to kill you, blink away, and pop invisibility and it gets you out of combat.  They will run away and you can eat and drink.  Keep in mind that casting any spells or doing ANYTHING other than running or standing there will make you come out of invisibility.

well that clears up a lot thnx. i mainly thought to use this in arena (2v2 or 3v3, dont hink this would help in 5v5) with my pali friend. i would become invisible, hide behind a pillar n let him draw their attention while i charged up a spell from behind.

Invisibility is INSANE!

Because:

-It allowes you to get out of combat, very nice when you overaggro in instances or dont want to get cought in PvP.

-It allowes you to see ALL STEALTH PLAYERS when invisible.

Some examples:

-Use frost nova, run and blink away and use invisibility

-Use it when u want to capture bases in AB, last i found a stealth rogue at Farm and pwned him bcause of invisibility xD

-When u pickup the flag in WSG, use the skill first, then you will be just as sneaky as a druid/rogue :DDD

One thing i dont know is if those stealth players can see ME too.....

reply on this if your interested :)

Oh, really ???
I thought only INVISIBLE, not STEALTH.
It is not the same.

1. I seriously daubt u can see a stealthed rogue when invisible
2. Stealthed rogue cannot see invisible mage

in my experiences as a 70 mage with invisibility its quite hard to pull of as in those 5 seconds your generally a popular target as i only use it when I'm getting attacked or low health.
try using  manna shield before you cast invisibility if you can give you a few extra seconds
works successfully for me about %40 of the time in pvp about %70 in pve
don't when your running people lol

It's only good for PvE when your close to aggroing.

It's awesome for PvP though, use it 5seconds before the fight begins and you go out invisible, get your partner to click on the minimap where they are, frsot nova at that spot (you come out) then NUKE

If there are 2 of you in pvp whay are you playing cat and mouse? just focus fire and move on....well unless you are alliance this sounds like a tactic they would use...lolz

works pretty well in 2v2 arena's.

make sure you're on a voice programme like vent, or the ingame voice chat.

use invisibility at the start when the gate opens, then your friend(works well with a rogue/druid in stealth or a shadowmelded player if alliance) will ping on the minimap where they are, then you just go up and frost nova or any other quick AoE spell to get the first hit.
