hi there

im a lvl 30 druid and i was wondering when is my druid about to hold a mace or fist weapons? is this a skill i need to buy or a talent or what? so far all i can hold are daggers and staffs. im also on a free server if that changes anything. thanks for any helpfull comments.

Yes, druids can use maces and fist weapons.
Fist doesn't really help you any as druid, however, since you're usually in a form. Maces are good for resto, and some of the two handers are good for feral.
Both can be trained at one of the major cities. Talk to a guard to find the weapon master of the city.

don't use fist weapons! i play a 46 druid and got my butt kicked by a wildkin lvl 43 using spells and heals use maces and staves

well fist wepons is where the warsong gulch battle things in daranasuss next to it and the hold maces are in stormwind simple really yeh it is

Remember you pick the weapon for the stats it gives as you shouldn’t be hitting people with a weapon you should be nuking at range, healing or in a forum.

For druids in general.. the weapon itself dont matter. This is especially true for feral druids, since the weapon speed and DPS are null while in cat or bear form... all you are getting out of the weapon is the stats. IMO 2H maces seem to have the best feral stats (+stam, +agi +str) Balance duids shouldnt really need to melee at least while outside but it will be nice having a reliable weapon inside. Ive almost always carried a Staff with my balance druid since it gives the best stats for my spec (+stam +int +spirit +spell damage and crit) Wouldnt know what to say bout Resto but i guess they will go the same way as balance but focusing on +healing (which ive seen a lot in 1H maces and off hands combo) Hope this helps
