i dont have a pic but ive seen it, looks like a scorpion tail with a fang looking tip, basically it looks like a bug thing, obviously cuz its from AQ

That's right, this was changed in patch 1.11!

Thank all those Blizzard people, I started heading for this before they changed it 'cause I heard something about it..

Gah, looking at this again the set bonus kinda sucks. Its a PvP bonus, not a PvE one. I already have my mana shield absorb 850 damage, why would I need it to absorb more? I barely have the mana pool for that (just over 5k mana buffed - mostly +dmg/crit gear - I hate stats).

I'd rather take +20dmg and leave... or +1%crit, +1%hit... -target-resistance...

I use SnD a TON on my rogue.

But yeah, most are.

Thing is if it was actual PvP there would be crit instead of hit. With the current system you just need a measly 4% hit to be doing max hit v a lvl 60 target. 2 points in arc and frost take care of it, which most mages get at least one of them.

My main issue with this set isnt the set bonus (most of them suck anyways) rather I am mad about mages having only 76 dmg from the set and locks getting 91 dmg. The only things we "gain" from the set over locks is 6 spi and 9 int, but lose 6 sta. If this is indeed a PvP set then 6 sta > or = 9 int 6 spi, and locks get a straight up dmg bonus over mages.

This ring is a joke when you look at the other casters that get one.

The Warlock ring comes with 3 more stamina, slightly higher +damage and also gets 1% to hit with spell on top of the 1% crit.

hehe, you sure need to get your facts straight. Warlock weapon has much more spelldmg than mage, and about the same stats (except, warlock weapon doesn't have +1% to hit with spells).
The ring of the warlock has indeed more stamina and also +1% to hit with spells, which mage ring doesn't have, but the mage ring has got 4 more spelldmg. Overall though, the lock items far outstrip the equivalent mage items.

for the 20-man groups, the set rocks. Ok- the bonus sucks. Get over it. The ring and cloak are not half-bad for people looking to PvP or go to a 40 man instance. It has enough spell damage to be really useful while still retaining some stats. Not to mention that the sword is just about equivalent to a mageblade, which about 3/4 of the epic mages I know use...and yet it's all somewhat acheivable through a 20-man group. Run AQ 20 on a weekly basis and you can get decked out in this stuff in no time.

My analysis: Not great, but for the time and people invested in it, you can use this to peice together a pretty good set of your own.

i new to the pvp part im in a pve realm i get in pvp to get a nice belt 8 magic dmg anf healing dose that mean only in pvp ? or can i use in battel on a pve realm?

GEEZ you are an idiot... when did he say someone was using their sword? Never.

He said that the warlock set has +59 SPELL damage, and the mage set has +40 SPELL damage. Friggen noob...

hehe... looking back on the past times in WoW.... haveing 5k mana buffed... im arc specced at 70, i gt like 10k buffed, w/o PvP set , raid set, or any set gear, since i just hit 70and was too lazy to farm PvP for honor
