I would argue that a subtley or hybrid burst rogue would best benefit engineering.
First off, remember all those "2-3 sec stun" bombs ? thats additional damage AND another backstab if timed correct.
Same thing applies with a target dummy, thats an additional 1-2 backstabs depending on how you time your energy.
You have the jumpers of course for the mid combat res with vanish etc.
Mind control cap has allowed me to take on 3 pvp targets my lvl, sap one, mind control 1, use the MCed char to rapid kill the single target, bandage to full hp, get ready with gouge,
when the MC target turns hostile gouge him, vanish and ambush with remorse is 100 % crit which for clothies in the 30+ bracket is half their HP, take out this target without using evasion, pop evasion on last target (who should be the most melee depended of the 3) etc.
Rocket boots, not really worth the 30 sec cooldown when you put them on to be of any real use, unless you get the high lvl goblin ones.
rogues lack real ranged damage, they have no ranged stuns like a pally has, and even a warrior has intercept, a rogue has no way of engaging a ranged target once hes in combat (due to not being able to stealth) we then become sitting ducks for frost mages and especially hunters and reverse kite locks.
having a 3 sec stun bomb or a netgun allows us to snare our target and run at them, this is SERIOUSLY the difference between winning or loosing against a hunter or lock.
parachute cape is very fun and usefull not only a low level but a high lvl too, it makes arathi basins very easy, instead of dying in a few places you can jump and fly away lol.
Goblin rocket launcher, 45 stam trinket??? 1500 dmg hits from range? if you manage to low hp a target and somehow he gets out of crippling poison and runs then a rogue can shoot this baby at him, (where a hunter could just shoot his bow)
