Is Tauren better shaman than Orc? In Enhancement or in Elemental? I just wanna know...

in my experience tauren have been bad because of being very slow. For me the orc are good and bad at the same time because of the bad starting location(who likes the hot dry desert anyway?) but are good for PvP'ing


i'd pick orc and i say deal with the locations.

ok here's the dillyoh... tauren have 5% xtra health, very good for pvp, and TAURENS ARENT ANY SLOWER... orcs have bloodrage thingy and thats good for burst damage, but horrible if they are arenaing and want heals. if you're a healing sham, being troll would be good because if you're hurt, and you need fast heals, just go beserk and that just might save ur life. elem shams would probably prefer being troll, and resto the same, just for the beserking. enh shams might wanna go orc for the extra burst damage from bloodrage. nuff said?

im an orc shaman and in ma opinion orc's get the best PVP using blood rage to infect massive amounts of damage, but it is better tauren being PVE as of war stomp and higher health, trolls have useful ability's like berserking which gives them added speed + if enhancer shammy flurry is even more of a boost.

the tauren shammy is rly easy to master and rly good for shammies as well as war with warstomp and the more health.

ok Trolls Pwn as enhance the +atackspeed is good for melee n losing hp makes u go faster also late in game enhancement trolls look sweet

yes the tauren have the war stomp and 5% increase in hp but remember blood fury also increases bonus damage and healing which is great when ur healing some1 else plus used with a healing trinket. There is also the orcs 15% chance to resist stuns which can be a lifesaver especially against rouges and warriors.

..... Bloodfury decreases the effect of healing. /quit wow.

WELL, i have a orc shaman and i am speccing him restro from day one. It hink this is usefull on raids on alliance towns for teh better healing and PvE raids because healing is already very fast for restro shamans and i don't think it need even MORE speed, but rather some more healing. I had a lvl 32 tauren shaman (before deleting him and starting my orc) specced enhancement and he did GREAT for PvE. Trolls may cast faster but really when you get to lvl 70 with the best enchants, best epic gear, and a great Talent Tree, it really doesn't matter, now does it?

oh, i agree with WarlockXXX, the abilities like bloodfury don't make much of a difference at 70 when you are full epic with an amazin talent tree, whereas gift of the naaru heals more with lvl xD

bloof fury only reduces the healing effects on you not other members so when healing the tank it comes in handy.

Tauren-good enhancement shamans(best thay hav stamina and strengh), ok elementals, ok restos(would not recommend)

Orc-good enhancements(best because of blood rage), good elemental , good resto

Troll-BEST RACE THAT IS GOOD AT SHAMAN

i say go for tauren have more hp and war stomp

i went troll with my shammy and he kicks ass... i use two handers for the HUGE burst damage and in your face WF crits... its amazing , im 48 right now and am simy twink, i was dual weild but it wasn't really fun... seemed kind noobish and takes no skill it seemed, epecially when you got two enchants like crusader and mongoose... plus if you go two handed you have more skill points to but somewhere ells... have the beserk HELPS ALOT fro hitting faster, and the increased regenaration rate is really sweet too... i think trolls are best for the two handed spec enchance shammy builds

Guys i hope you all realize that racial differences are very slight you wont notice it as soon as you get some gear.

I like my orc ele shammy with bloodrage, if you pop that with a spell damage increase trinket and ele mastery, you can really get a huge lead/advantage at the beginning of fights in PvP. If you use it with chain lightning, you can drop a lot of mobs to half health with your first spell. It's perdy.

Wow...you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.  Bloodfury always gives a significant boost to healing.

Oh, and Gift of the Naaru scales terribly.
