What is your opinion on the worst class in wow and the worst race in wow?

night elf rogue.

i hate any horde hunters there are just way to many of them on my sever

night elf hunter..... there are 1000s of them. I dont reli care if there best who wants to be a clone..... phft...

If you're talking about my opionion about the most worthless class PvPwise, I'd say warrior.  Even as a tank I get killed fast by lower level toons if they have a magic advantage or by hunters who can have their pets attack me while they sit back and shoot the crap out of me.  I'm a lvl 59 and I can get killed by a lvl 53 easy.  PvP sucks in my opinion.  I should have created a Hunter but Warrior sounded so cool to a noob.

I am probley going with Night Elf Hunters, Night Elf rogues, Dreani priest, Human Paladin, and Gnome Mage are all so annoying. I was doing AB and like there was a swarm of Gnome Mages using frost trap, firebolt, and all that. Night elf rogues no offence dont know what the hell fast rogues are about. Night Elf hunters have too much hunters with the shadowmeld. Dreani and Human paladins just are odd.

i have a character called humanpally xD guess what class and race it is :P

oh, errrmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, rogues, since they're cheap as hell, they even have a move with cheap written all over it. and the worst race.... gnomes, i just want a 70 tauren so i can stamp on them all.

I really don't understand the answers that have been given whatsoever.  Regardless, my opinion is that Gnome and Troll Protection warriors are the worst PvP class/race combo, followed distantly by all protection paladins and other protection warriors.  Those are mostly PvE specs, and have little use in PvP (although diving into the middle of an epic battle and using Shield Wall in AV is very fun).  Tauren marksman hunter, Gnome CM rogue, and Human Shadow Priest are also some crappy combinations, IMHO.

yeah i agree with u man.. the rest of posters seem to be posting classes and races that they dont like.. Question was which are bad pvp choices.. not which ones kick your asses :P

...I would like to say rogues just because locking someone in a stun to the extent that its like fighting an AFK character takes about as much skill as picking your flight path, but they obviously get kills so... Next I would point to BM Winbutton noobs but again, they get kills.... as for race.... NElf. Hands down. Look its a CLEAR WARRIOR! Bring it NElf, you'll die then run to your body so fast that you'll catch me between food breaks. 10 NATURE RESISTANCE... Counts for.. nothing....

There is no best RACE for gods sake. Racials mean.. almost...nothing. Of course a good racial can be moderatly useful, btu really, not that much. Wow tauren have 5% more health... Orcs have a slight increase in pet damage, dwarves have a crappy stone form. It really doesnt make a notable difference.

5% more stamina isn't a big deal to you? 5% more intellect to gnomes doesn't matter? That not only means 5% more mana but it also means 5% more spell crit that other races. How about undead's free fear/sleep/charm break which can save them a 2 minute cooldown doesn't impact the game? You, sir, are sorely mistaken.

It is so tough to lvl a holy priest of any race on a pvp server. Even in a group, who gets attacked first? The priest. We're easier to kill, and without us the rest of the group dies quicker. Robes might as well have a target on them.

However I love it when horde comes up on ya, and what does the hunter do first? boing! hunters mark over my head. I LOVE THAT TRICK. I wanna say "hey, thanks for giving me a warning before ya hit me, I had time to get my shield up and alert the rest of my group! Thanks again for the HK!"

But I still love playing holy priest, and though its tough, I wont stop.

racials really make a huge difference in PvP mostly (i still think Troll should break stuns, i mean berserking sends you into a furious bloodrage and turns you into an unstoppable killing machine, it should break stuns) but my most hated class and race would have to be gnomes (followed by the rest of the Alliance races) and Pallys, it is like oh look i bubbled again, hehe, oh now im low on health HoJ heal, hey look i bubbled again, LoH full health, HoJ a few mana pots haha you can't kill me. god all you pallys can go suck my troll toe jam. oh and Gnome rogues should not be able to backstab they don't even come up to my shins ( oh look i just stabbed you in the back of the shins, AAAIIIIEEEEE!!!!!! you stepped on me!! oh god whats that you are doing to my brain OH GOD I CAN SEE MY OWN BRAIN and NOW I'M BEING FORCED TO EAT IT guurggle....bubble.....death. (i then dance on your corpse cuz its funny)

Well, no, racials don't make a large difference at all. The only problem is that WoW is a feedback loop. If the racials are 'overpowered', then that faction wins a little more. Over time, they get better gear and so ROFLstomp the other faction more (on average). Think about it. If I have 10k hp, and I get 5% more, thats 500 more health. Barely a single DoT tick from a warlock, or half an Ice Lance (I think). Just pick what's most aesthetically appealing, unless you REALLY want to win so much

Any class is best but if you cant play with your class is not good ... I have hunter elf and i can kill warrior arms !

Best and worst,, well just look at battlegrounds,, u think racials don't matter? and horde players are just genius pvp players, can't fear undead,, stomp etc etc,, humans get spirit lol really useful in pvp.Simple rule of thumb, horde is for pvp, ally pve, get 2 accounts,don't even waste your time pvp with ally, just put them on leech, whilst you play on your horde charcters in bgs, lol we even win AV now. would love to play ally more in bgs for sure, but blizz made it totally 1 sided so i only play on the winning side. end of story, all classes suck on ally, but not because there bad players.

All I have to say is: You're stupid.

You really think all the good players go to Horde, and all the stupid ones go to Alliance?

Just by reading these comments I realized that there are an overwhelming amount of children playing this game =P. The question is asking what PvP class/race is the worst and not the spec! 

NE racials are the worst for BGs but can be useful in arena. Aka Shadowmeld messes up arena mods when you enter combat before they are revealed.

In arena hunters are the worst class overall. But in Bg's they can easily dominate due to a larger frontal force being difficult to penetrate and reaching the bastard. Also, there are virtually no LoS issues in BG's. Thus, they can shoot 90-100% of the time instead of maybe 10-50% in arena settings. Next are are paladins and shamans but only in the 2v2 and 3v3 arena setups. In 5v5 they excel due to great group support. (Totems, BL, purge, big heals, big dmg, BoP, and blessings.)

Also, the question is vague. PvP means what? Arena? World PvP? BGs? Duels?

that arena chart is straight from Blizzard. There actual statistics and not some hypothetical scenario from the link you provided.

The post is hypothetical, of course. But the principle behind it is what is important.

To give another example, lets say Arena has 99 Warriors, and 1 Priest. Yet there are 9900 Warriors in all (including PvErs), and only 20 Priests (again including PvErs, non-arena-goers .etc)

You would say that warriors were overpowered, wouldn't you?

But if I normalize....

1% of Warriors are in high-end Arena, but 5% of Priests are there. Clearly Priests are overpowered (which they aren't)

Now replace Priest with every other class in the game, as warriors are THE MOST PLAYED CHAR AT 70 (Yes, even including hunters!)

Your getting lost in logic. Just read the chart. It's from Blizzard. Do you work for Blizzard? Probably not. But I'll squabble one last time before I ditch this column.

You nailed yourself in the foot with your own argument. Let's take your scenario of 9900 warriors and 20 priests. If out of 9900 warriors only 1% reached the top 5%, then warriors would be even worst for arena. This is because out of such a vast number only a few managed to reach the top.

It's like having a million ants and only a few survive. While out of 10 cockroaches 5 survive. Cockroaches will obviously be the viable species/class/spec/gnome w/e you want to call it. Stop smoking the reefa bro.

I may be wrong about the number of Warriors in respect to Hunters...

Here's another way to see it

If I have a warr/druid team (in hi-end arena), and I want a druid (and have a war), but there are very few druids around, I don't care. I'm in the Hi-end arena, and will find a druid. No. Matter. What. Who cares if 1% of players are druids. With such high ratings, it won't matter. I can always find one.

I read it wrong and didn't take into account normalization. However, even if there are a lot of hunters/warriors. Why would their %'s be so low? And don't say because most people who play those classes are kids.

Edit: I read the link thoroughly and the example given is a small sample size. The sample size from Blizzard is large. And that even if there are a large number of people who play certain classes the percentages still reflect accurately. For all we know, there could a comparable amount of Warlocks to hunters but Warlocks percentages are still high in the chart. Correct me if I'm wrong.

There are, however, 1000 warriors, and only 100 mages at 70

Therefore, warriors get 1%, and mages get 10%. It's to do with warriors having a larger class size.

Actually, the sample size is 100 (I think) for the official stats. Maybe thats the problem...

What I think you're not taking into consideration is that certain classes are just better than others at arena. That may simply be it....maybe.

EDIT: By better, I don't mean the players (2200+ players are ALL extremely skilled) but the potential of the class to be good. Or, in other words, the skill cap of a class is higher than another.

Aha! I have the answer to the cockroach & ant problem

The fallacy in your analogy, is that ants don't eat cockroaches, or vice-versa. All that the analogy is saying, is that the ants who survived, are better than the other ants, BUT it ISN'T saying that ants are better than cockroaches (or the other way 'round)

To put it in WoW terms, 2200+ rated mages are better than sub-2200 mages. Which is obviously true.

TO go further, it means that the ants that survived are better than the other ants, by a larger margin than the cockroaches which survived, as compared to the cockroaches which didn't.

At least, that's what I figured out before going to bed. But then I may be wrong. After all, I'm only 15....

well if u want my point of view... a gnome warrior as they have no warrior +'s and for the horde it would have to be a troll priest because they have mostly fighter stats
