Raid is when you take a group of people, a large group mostly, and you do a hard higher lvl instance or raid a city and kill people and gaurds.
the guy above me pretty much explains it, but mostly a group of Hordes or Alliance go to the opposites land(e.g Horde come to Westfall or Stormwind or vice versa)

A raid is NOT wen some idiots go to a city and kill some low lvls... NO its wen u take a group of 10 or 25 ppl and raiding for killing bosses and get epix. Need to have tacs etc etc for bosses and no no skilled noobs can go ^^
