I have been looking for black lotus for days on end now, spending about 5hours each time. I have searched Winterspring, Burning Steppes and Eastern Plaguelands. So many resources say that it is a drop and then others say its a plant just growing out there.
If anyone has any suggestions for me as to where to find this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks :)

Black Lotus is found like any other herb on the ground. I have found it a couple of times at Eastern plaguelands.

It is not bind on pickup as stated on some other posts.

Black lotus can also be had from killing and herbing the various bogs in Zangarmarsh. I got at least 5 this way.

I've found it in Winterspring, but its rare.

I have found the most reliable place that spawn one Black Lotus on a routine basis is in Burning Steppes. Go West of the back entrance of BRD and up near the quest giver and hand in for a warlocks dreadsteed quest. Just before you turn left to go to the quest givers on a little rock there is almost always a balck lotus but its every few days or so.
