Well it depends on what you want to do and what your level is.

If your lvling i would forsure say BM. Bm includes your pet alot and they help alot. First i would pick a bear as a pet. They have growl which is really nice because you can shoot alot more. you should NEVER melee unless you HAVE to. BM will incease your pets dps, health, and agroo alot to help keep you shooting not trying to wing clip and run away. Also BM is very nice for PVP, Beatial wrath FTW!!

Now for raiding i would have to say a bit of each. in BM talents theres that inceased aspect of the hawk which is REALLY nice. MM which increases your dps alot and is the primary raid spec. and survival is also a good raid spec as well. currently i have a lil in each its like 5/47/10 or something close to that. i built survival for imp traps BM for imp aspect of the hawk and MM for maximized dps. Woa, woa, woa. I was going to let your post go, but I saw this line. MM is not in any way the primary raid spec. For personal raid dps BM>MM>SV until BT/Hyjal when BM and MM even out. With a proper macro and half-decent gear a blue BM can out-dps an epicced out MM hunter. If you plan on raiding at 70 you should start with a 41/20/0 build and move to MM later on once you have the gear. Or SV if you want, but you should be sporting about 700agil before considering this.

I agree with him. Once your pet gets hit with an AoE, its screwed, as is your dps, you would loose close to 50% not counting the extra effects you gain with it alive.  MM or Survival is Win in Raids BM rarely ranks higher, and if so, the MM or Surv is not doing somthing right.

Arkin -Moon guard  0/20/41, tends to be a good spec.

As BM my pet is at most 30% on pet friendly fights and about 20-25% otherwise. Serpent Swiftness is what produces the dps in a BM spec. A BM hunter in Pre-kara gear should top meters in kara. You obviously have no knowledge of the class.

this spec works WELL..i dont have any points into imp mark b/c in my guild another hunter have it so its not worth havin 2 hunters with it :-P

What do you think of a 0/47/14 talent build to get Aimed shot, scatter shot, trushot aura, silencing shot, and deterrance. and yes BM is only good in PvE, Pvp, and 2v2 or 3v3 arena. It sucks in Raids.

any one who says that mm or sv out dps a bm rly does not know what they are talking about... i have a lvl 70 hunter bm and i top the charts on damage usually about 3rd - 8th place depending on whos ther... beast mastery is the way to go for pvp and raids pets do alota damge and if bosses do aoe effect just heal pet if your pet dies simply rez and keep fighting

Every one of these things is the same BM>MM>SV or MM>BM>SV blah blah blah seriously actually provide something usful instead of I ARENA ALL THE TIME. I don't care if you do. Listen ok BM is good for lvling and is pretty powerful MM can be the powerhouse spec IF you use it right and SV is for helping the group and you crit a lot with it. Test the builds and see what you like....not like i've said this enough lol. People are always going to be drawn to a build they like and I like SV plain and simple.  It's how I play.
