69 Hunter with no flying mount, did this just fine. Like they said, I went right at the bridge and down the hill into a small ravine, killed a fire elemental and then mounted up and ran up the path to where I started. Got the update about half way up the hill. Then used the flare gun with no trouble at all and not even close to any mobs ( 50.57 ) on the road before the bridge :) Had to feign death to get the mobs off me, but overall did ok.
