How do you get this ability? Pet trainer or through tallent points?

He's right! Being a Marksman hunter, I would kill to have a pet that could root.
With a 1-3 second root ability, gives enough time for a few ranged attacks. I can see it now: Wing Clip > then Web Root > Scatter Shot > Chetta some distance > PWN/OWN w/ RANGE!!! I second that, that pet ability should be available. GIVE US BLIZZ!!!

I've spent a lot of time searching the internet for this ability, and each site kept refering back to Thottbot as the first place it showed up. I figured I'd come back to Thottbot and see who discovered it first, and maybe by a longshot, I could track them down.
And what to my surprise, it says I'm the one that discovered it! I don't know if there's a bug or if I really am the one that discovered it, but I did have Thottbot on heavy (full) data collection for some time. I'm really streatching my memory, but if I am the one that discovered this, I seem to remember seeing this icon while PvP-ing an alliance character in the Barrens up the hill from Ratchet. I play on Darkspear server, so all Alliance hunters on darkspear start asking each other about this and when you find out, post on Thottbot.com please.
No Zg raptors dont have this skill cuase i did beastlore on them when i was doing ZG run i dont think this skill is out yet not till nexts patch
Alright no one jump down my throat but I dont't see cobra reflexes as that useful a move. Here's why from my point of view. Increase attack speed by 30%. big whoop. Raptors (all of em on record) have a 2.0 attack speed. Cats range from 1.0-2.0. Cats also get dash and prowl. So why on earth would you want a Raptor with Cobra reflexes when you can get a Cat with an equal or faster attack speed plus more goodies in skill set?
There is a rare raptor in the barrens that does alot of damage and has faster attack speed than most(i think) and with the spell he could do great damage on PvP

Doesn't sound to appealing, cats can attack faster and don't have damage reduction. Perhaps they can add that "tail lash" attack...thats a wicked knockdown can cancel spells, and attacks Doubt Spiders will get a root, seeing how intimidation is available...although they are different. If anything maybe a slowing poison.
I only told people about this so they could get the raptor b4 they lvl too high and want a cool pet. The raptor is pretty good i had him for a while but then dumped him for Humar the PrideLord at lvl 23 lol.
and spiders are ok but scorpions are better look for a rare scorpion in Durotar near the barren/Durotar bridge.
Takk the Leaper is a pretty good critter. He's the rare spawn raptor. Fastest Raptor. He looks cool too :) Be ready to be in for the long haul though, unless your an addcit to the game, because as a rare spawn, he's a pain to find. I found him back in a corner somewhere...At least Humar was fairly easy to find.
I just tamed my ZG raptor in ZG (post 1.10, so once I get him to Best Friend I will post and see if he has this yet.

Raptors and cats have the same damage, just cats attack faster while raptors hit slower and harder.
Cats can proc frenzy more because of the faster attack, and the fast attack helps more with fighting casters. Cats also have a run speed buff, stealth, large initial attack when coming out of stealth. If raptors got an ability that increased attack speed at the cost of damage... they would be the same as cats whenever they used the special, only without the run speed buff, stealth or the ability to perform a strong initial hit. Raptors would be better off with the Boar Charge skill they gave to the piggies. It would kinda make up for the lack of a run buff and initial hard hit. I really hope this isnt the special ability blizzard is going to implement for raptors, as it looks rather lame :(
Yes, at one point cobras were tameable i beleive. They were made untameable probly in the first patch but i doubt they had this cobra reflexes skill. It's more likely to be a future add on in some patch like for an example the highest rank of lightning breath for wind serpents is not yet available via tameing a beast. some wind serpents have it but you can either not tame them or simply dont come with in when tamed. I think its something like that.
This is a move that raptors do while in the wild and cannot be learned. It is a self buff and even if you see a raptor doing it it still wont come with it, I've tried. The most likely raptor ability would be a dot like rend. c'mon lets get real.
They need to make the Venomhide Ravasaur tameable. He has the best raptor skin in the game, even better than my hunter's Takk. Black with blue stripes :oD BUT I CAN'T TAME HIM!! >:o(

yeah cats are very fast and i use them for pvp and pve..i never switch my pets..im going to tame a raptor in ZG...but i prefer cats of all ...(especially when i eyes of beast and use dash while hiding with flag in WSG..i can find our flag rofl)
Frostsaber Highmane is the best pet u can get.
This ability, actually, was an old old Hunter spell in the beginning levels. I remember learning it during beta, and it was still around even during the stress test. Very soon after, however, they removed it, along with the hunter spell Black Arrow.
Sorry guys, this is just an old old spell, surprisingly still in the game. Perhaps they're saving it for when the Snake-beast are tameable?
I tamed King Bangladesh from STV and he came with Cobra Reflexes. I found it on my pet tab in the spell book.... He does just as much damage, I haven't noticed a reduction, and his "Main Hand" attack speed is 1.54! When he reached level 60, I decided to unlearn his skills to retrain him with higher levels of claw, bite, etc... and I LOST COBRA REFLEXES. Do NOT untrain your King Bang as you will probably lose this lovey skill too.
The biggest advantage i noticed with the speed increase is more critical hits!! alot more!
kinda like the difference between a sword and a dagger. If you are a hunter that is into crits and agility you will know what i mean. You WILL lose if you reset king bang's training points. This skill really makes a huge differeance.
Well, I tamed the white tiger from STV (Bangalash, I believe) years ago and I noticed today (march 14, 2007) that he has the Cobra Reflexes (rank 1) skill.
Used Beast Lore on my tamed pet. Edit: And unfortunatly unlearned his stuff, due to a screwup and lost it, like said above. omfg #61 comment by treborzz, Score 0.00
Confirmed! Cobra Reflexes and Avoidance ranks 1 and 2 are now available at pet trainers. These abilities became available after the last patch, if you dont believe go check it out yourself. You will be very happy you did!

I'm not sure, but when i gave my pet this ability, its damaged decreased but i think its dps increased by a few dps.
Also, this skill is awesome for bm because it allows frenzy to proc more often, thus resulting in an increased overall dps.
Yes, it does stack. This, combined with frenzy and the BM talent, gives my pet an atk speed of about .8 or .9. Great for interrupting spells and actually increases the proc chance of frenzy so if ur lucky you might actually get it throughout a fight.
Just to say, I am sure the damage reduction is 15% in case you were all wondering. I can post the numbers some other time...
