Every bit of text i have read says use slow weapons for max efficency of your windfury ability. I want to know if the talent(flurry) that can increase your swing speed after a crit, decrease how effective windfury is.

flurry is something like haste... makes the weps hit faster, for the same dmg...ur WF is gonna proc for ur wep dmg plus the bonus AP anyway..
but is this gonna meddle with the WF 3 sec hidden CD mechanics...thats a nice qn...
i dunno how it all works out coz well with ur crittin and flurry Wf just procs all over but i never TIMED the gap honestly bfore btw 2 WF procs...so does the CD really exsist? i could use some guidance here too

Also think about this , though slow weapons do more damage. Lets just say (numbers are made up). my 2 handed weapon did 8 damage with windfury.  It's pretty easy to get 3-4 attacks of one handed weapons in the time that it would take to do 8 damage.

2+2+2+2 = 8 , so you would get same dps if the damage was 1/4  of what the 2 handed damage is.  Generally the damage is close like a 45.7 dps to for one handed to a two handed 66.7 (again numbers are drawn from my heard not super accurate just to give an idea). so you would do 46 damage 3 times and way out damage the 66.7 and that if you crit only one of those 4 times. 

In this way duel wielding is much more powerful espeiclaly for a shammy then a 2 handed weapon. Just cause it's slower and it does more damage dosn't mean the 2 1 handed weapons are  not going to be better.

Yea, the cd exists but flurry will increase speed by 30% so the slowest wep (4 sec) will attk every 2.8 sec.. however: flurry: 30% more dps but less burst dmg makes it not one hit/kill anyone with WF crit xD

So WF on a 1h is good too? I have DW and use Wf on main hand and Rockbitter on offhand would that be fine for max dps?

wf on main hand and fb on off hand is bets because the rock bighter is halved on off hand

but we all know that WF is the best freaking thing ever

the 3 sec cooldown definitely exists. hence why DW shammys in raids arent windfury chain proccing off the charts.  back before some patch before burning crusade, shamans used to be able to proc windfury off of other windfurys. this was why shamans always topped the charts in battlegrounds. but they fixed windfurys proccing from windfury. bad move bliz ;(

im not proud to say that enhancement PvP lives off WF. we gear up (AP, slow 2.6+ weps) all based around this one weapon enchant. i dunno how it mixes with Flurry but it does. here is an example. I did an instance a few days back, we had three shamans, two enhancement one ele.

64 Enhancement Shaman. Weilded two 1.9 speed weapons, both mongoosed enchanted with WF/WF.

62 Enhancement Shaman (me). I wielded two Fist of Reckonings http://thottbot.com/i31139 and WF/WF both with fiery weapon on each.

62 - ele shaman.

I topped the DPS charts. then came the ele then the 64 enc. pretty much I WF with my slow weapons for crazy dmg alot, (theres supposed to be 3 sec cooldown but i reckon its like 1 or 2) and since i send it off with my main hand it has the potentional to do thousands of dmg.

the 64 enh WF alot also, but it came off on here OH and her WF's did puny dmg.

the 62 ele was good, did the most dmg overall, but when it comes to DPS enc let it off alot faster than the ele shaman who goes oom quick and has to cast spells.
