Im A Level 12 warrior in Tanaris and i have just got my first talent points but i can not decide what to spend them on. I want to be a good tank but i still want to actually be able to do some damage when im questing by myself. Im kind of interested in duel wielding but then how does that compare to using a two handed sword or axe? Is it equal or is one better than the other? Please give me your recommendations.

well at lvl 12 you should go arms. cuz its the best way for a noob warrior too go.. prot is hard too go whit in low lvl, fury is very item dependend specc so unless you have lots of gold too buy your items, i would again say arms... thats my advise... take it or leave it... :P gl m8

Im a lvl 50 warrior that until lvl 40 was specced prot. Learn from my mistake, i respecced fully arms for soloing and have been much happier. I will respec again around lvl 65 to prot so I can tank but for now arms is the best way to lvl.

As far as weapons train for everything and carry one of each. It will increase your talents because at higher lvls you never know what drops, also its in arms spec you can take a weapon specialization, so use each so you know what works best for the way you like to play.

I went arms in the beginning too, and I paid the 1g to unlearn all my talents and went heavy into Fury and obviously I DW now, and I am MUCH happier. Id go arms if you want to use 2h weapons, and fury if you want to be a killing machine!

guys!!!! fury is way better for dps i was an arms warrior til my 30s and i respecs and itsa soo much better fury is really good cus it does alot of damage real quick i mean ya 2 handed can hit hard and all but its better cus if u hit real slow in bursts thats good but its better to hit them real quick not to mention how good duel wields r against casters it will take them for ever to heal so i suggest fury 100%.... well 99.9% lol

Definetly Arms will outdo fury even in speed if you focus on items haste items.

Arms early on, if used right, is good at PvE but even better at PvP then fury. Also like I said you get items that boost your attack speed and you will by far out dps a fury spec.

Protection is great if you want to go that route once you hit level 65+ but to level you will want to go arms or fury depending on your style. Use other specs to level then respec as protection and you will get invite after invite as a tank for raids n dungeon crawls.

what's everyone's thoughts on hybrids?  I put enough into protection to get a little extra armor and the improved revenge, and it comes in real handy in instances, then the rest all go to fury and arms.

Spec arms and use a 2H until level 30, then go fury and dual wield.

reason: Arms is great, but since you have to pick a weapon (ie sword mace, axe) it can severly limit your choice for a weapon.  You can't afford to spend 10 points and get two of the specializations.  Fury doesn't have this limit, and is great for killing monsters solo.  Fury also is just great for instances for doing DPS and Off Tanking.  As a prot warrior myself, I love fury warriors who will help tank on bosses that summon adds.

Once you are level 70, you can afford to take your time and get the specific weapon you want for Arms, or you'll have money to retrain.

Hybrids stink.  Why are you in defensive stance anyway?  revenge at best has a 45% stun chance, and that is AFTER you parry or dodge.  You'd have to be in defensive stance to use it, so you'll be doing 10% less damage.  Also, when in instances are you getting hit, so that you can block and use revenge?  Thats the MT's job.

However, in the end, if you like it, more power to you.  People forget this is a game.  But, if you are DPS'ing in my group, and I see 3 points in improved revenge, I'd probably request a new DPS.  Tanking is hard enough even with people that know what to do.

I have a lvl 65 with 29/22/5. I think the best thing is that to divide the points between arms and fury cause it makes u better in different ways...sometimes I see fury warrs with no points at all in their arms or the other way round. Why choose 1 way when u have the chance to make ur char better in different ways. So I disagree with all points spent in 1 tree. I put 5 points in prot. 2 points on Tactical Mastery just so I can keep 15 rage after changing stances, then 3 on Improved blood rage so I get more rage. Mix them up....lol

I'm a lvl 51 warrior and i went with mostly arms.
Arms is best for DPS and instance runners.
Fury is best for Berserker Stance from lvl 30.
Protection is for the poor saps who like to use sheilds.

So i suggest Arms because its best for DPS and instnace running.

basically, each tree represents a different role in the game. arms is straight up PVP, but can be used for leveling quite quickly if played well. Fury is the best leveling tree and later on if you get good enough with it you can easily become a major DPS in raids and instances. Prot though, is for tanking, and... you can PVP with it. Basically Prot warriors don't die so they just build up rage and execute the mess out of people. If you don't believe me, try it for yourself.

I'd recommend a hybrid though. Whatever build you take, putting some points into Cruelty (+1% to crit chance) is never a bad idea. Neither is Anticipation (+2 to defensive rating).

And, funny story: I'd recommend dual-wielding as an Arms warrior. Arms warriors DPS is based off of crits and bleeding. There's points which make your opponent bleed for every crit, increase damage of your rend, increase damage of your crit, increased damage while bleeding, up to a 50% increase of an overpower crit, and the lovely mortal strike which is the greatest thing ever. great crit chance (1 bleed) and makes them bleed after its successful (2 bleeding effects from one hit).

best to put points in fury , that is for sure .to use protection is out of the question , except for tactical mastery , which is ok , mainly for pvp.arms is great but not for farming, so use fury.
2 ways to lvl fast:
easiest way: stick to 2h till ur 22-23 then get 2 good axes or smthing , enchant them with crusader and farm ur heart out.why is it the easyest way? crusader heals u so u dont have to eat or bandage at all.
another way is to build up fury , but with a 2h . it will be hard between 20-31 but after u get improved slam the rest of lvls are easy.why slam? becouse u can down a mob in like 3-4 secs.u charge ,normal hit , slam slam , normal hit slam execute . this only works with mobs not real players becouse players will run from u and u need 0.5 secs to cast it in meelee range.It is good to get a crusader enchant in this version too.
VERY IMPORTANT:DONT GET ANYTHING ELSE EXCEPT MONEY MAKING PROFFESIONS SO U CAN AFFORD ENCHANTS.MINING/SKINNING OR HERBALIST/SKINNING (first is better but wtf!!)
believe me , u farm this way like a mad man. when u hit 65 u can resp into whatever u like (preferably into a 31/30/0 or a 33/28/0)though i like more 35/23/3 for pvp) and 20/41 for dps pve )
u could choose protection in end game for tanking but u will get bored quick of the game.

I recommend either fury or arms until you reach the 60's.  At lower levels and even non-heroics in outlands, you can efficiently tank if you are arms or fury spec'd.  A lot of instances you can even tank without a shield, though once you get to about lvl50 this no longer becomes the case.  Just make sure you have first aid, will save yourself hours or even days worth of playing time on your way to reaching lvl 70.  Once you get lvl 70, go with whatever your in the mood to play.  I have gear sets for all three stances and a profession that feeds my constant need to respec.  I guess i like to change things up alot. Just be aware that prot spec will make leveling take 2 or 3 times as long.  And at lower levels there isnt that big of a difference between arms and fury, so just go with whatever you prefer.

it really all depends on how you play mostly though
arms = pvp
fury = pve
prot = raid/instance.

hybrids are nice if you can find the right build but mostly just fury/arms if you do a prot hybrid most of your cooldowns you have to be in defensive to use them and leveling you mostly want to use beserker for the 3% crit, and extra AP if you go down into fury tree far enough.  But again it all depends on your playing style.
