Whats the deal with enchanters saying "im fine with no tips, blah blah blah!" I worked my ass off to get to where i am. I ran Kara many many times for Mongoose, Sunfire, Soulfrost, etc... I've also payed lots of gold for recipes such as crusader and fiery. STOP selling yourself short enchanters, we work too hard to not charge for enchants! I can understand doing it for free for guildies and friends but its just like IRL. Here try this, take car parts to a mechanic and ask him to put them on your car for a small tip..... thats what I thought..... ENCHANTERS UNITE!.... /sigh.... damnit! lol

Tell me about it comrade...its farkin idiotic... Enchanting has got to be the most expensive profession EVER to max out.....  the Skinners and Miners have been making countless loot.....  while we toil in the Magic room..  Disenchanting valuable weopons...  buying mats at the auction house

and for what??  To just give it away for free!!... Oooooo.. they provide the Mats... wow... how kind of them!!  har!

  Ya know how bad its gotten??  Im a 332 enchanter,  who is hard core about Arena...  and im considering going to one of these higher level enchanting fools who will cast a 360+ high level enchantment.... for... you guessed it!!  Free!!!  With your Mats!!  ahhhhh... what a guy!  har

its like...hmmmm??.. why spend massive gold and time on Materials and Formulas...  when all my fine fellow enchanters are gonna just give the crap away???

Meanwhile...  they laugh at you...  while they smoke your butt in Arena match....  Cuz you gave them CRITICAL ,  end game enhancements....  ON THE CHEAP!!!

i agree with the last comment every1 needs to lvl who has the proffession,so you have to do it free,but i guess you guys would rather enchant yourselfs 10x over before ever helping anybody else out. i will gladly enchant anyones wep / armor who is willing to spend the gold or time on gathering the mats,if u want to make money from enchanting then sell your mats and make lots of money from ppl who buy their mats from AH. HONESTLY blaming ppl because your dumb really isnt good

Seriously, I understand we all have to make gold to afford this and that.  On that note, how do you judge or expect people to judge for tip? There is no 20% crap going on here. What if i decide to tip 5silver, your still not happy. I just spent 20+gold buying YOUR mats in AH! HAHAHA.

C'mon guys. Tip me to alchemize some herbs YOU provide and tip me for doing something that cost me nothing.

what ...is this communism??  peace love and harmony....  if they give the Mats... we enchant for free?  Somebody mentioned Alchemy...  who cares?  Alchemy is a temporary buff that you cant even use in Arena,  Blacksmithing??  So you can make me some Epic Armor? 

    Get real,  nobody gets their end game armor made for em,  they all get it from PvP honour,  badges or whatever. 

    We have the most valuable end game profession,  and we are giving it away for nothing.  Tell me one profession thats more necessary to twink your 70 out then enchanting??    Maybe jewelcrafting,  thats it.  I can see giving away the low-level enchants to increase skill... but enchanting a dudes Epic 70 weopon for nothing??  Are you crazy??  =)... you can word it however you want till your blue in the face... but i can tell you what...  if that Arena guy im fighting against wants the best enchant from this cat... he or she is gonna pay for it  =)

To solve this I think Blizzard should, at some point in the future, consider allowing enchanters to apply the enchantment to a "scroll" of some sort that is a one-time use only item.  This allows the enchanter to put his enchant on the auction house to be bid on by everyone just like every other item in the game.  The idea is that it allows enchanters to enchant at their leisure, put the "scroll" (or whatever item) with the enchantment applied on the auction house, a buyer buys the scroll and enchants the appropriate item at their leisure, the "scroll" disappears from inventory.  This will help many people in many different ways.  One thing comes to mind: Much less spam on trade and general channels as we won't have to listen to enchanters all day and night sounding like carnival barkers trying to sell stuff you may or may not want or care to hear about.

Just my two cents.

I never do it for free, never. Most of my enchants I just ask for a tip, but for the bigger stuff (+81 Healing, +40 Spell, Mongoose, Soulfire, ect) I charge 25g with their mats. No questions asked. If they don't like it, try finding someone else on my server with Soulfire at 10am. Good f***ing luck.

I also charge up the ass for twinks. If they got 4k gold to drop on a level 19 then they can spare a bit more ^.^

For the most part I totally agree with the people saying we need to be charging for enchants. Any time someone wants me to do a rare chant on their weapon or armor that I know is gonna give their toon an insane stat boost I expect them to pay for it. But I will charge less if they provide all the mats, I'm not saying a beggers tip, but maybe not 30 gold either. The only times I've ever done a chant free or for a tip, is when its some lame chant that we get from the trainer and the mats are provided by the toon requesting the chant. In that case I'm willing to do a chant for the skill point, most of the time we can't even give chants like that away so we burn mats up by chanting ourselvs over and over. 

So yeah, charge the high prices for the chants that are rare and are serious stat upgrades, And maybe offer a small discount if they bring the mats with them. Give the junk chants away if you can find someone who wants it.

Enchantments are too common... spamming "Free with your mats"... BULLSHIT!!  Stop doing that... stop.. and i promise you we will all be rich.. SUpply and demand.  Even go as far as to see an enchanter Spamming, and kindly PST him.. hey listen.. were not doing that anymore.. if one tells 3... then 3 tell 9, then 9 telll 36 and so on...  next thing you know well be making 60G for Mongosose with THEIR MATS

yah really that is a bunch of bull. but if u charge them like at all u wont sell like any ecnhants we wont sell any thing. we should all go on a strike and not do any enchantments till ppl start paying.

I totally agree. Luckily I am in a great guild and I can enchant some guildies stuff with trainer learned chants. for free. But The chants that I am spending insane amount of time trying to get you better believe your ass is gonna be paying me good. I don't beleve that I should be forced to but the mats on the ah to get money. I worked my ass of getting the things to de and I am not gonna sell them and when someone needs a chant they talk to me then decide I am charging too much money. and go to someone else. I may have gotten money for selling my mats but now I don't get any money for the enchant... Then if i want to have a chant for myself or a guldie or friend I can't do it cuz I don't have any mats!!! I totally hate it when people say to put the mats on the AH... what's the point!!! But I have a ques. I am a lvl 235 and have been hunting for the Crusader enchant for 2 days and still haven't gotten it!! Why not? Do I have to be lvl 300 in order for it to drop? I am trying to get all the rare chants so I can but them in my bank and save them till i get to the right skill lvl. But on a different note... My guild master told me the other night while I was trying to get the crusader chant. That he had Lifesteal and unholy patterns and put them on the ah for 150g each!!! I told him that why didn't he give them to me and wy in the hell did he sell them for so little? LOL
Is there other place's that I can get some of the rare chants besides lvl 70 raid groups?

I have to agree with charging for enchants.... to get mats is insane, and if you buy them the AH prices are through the roof.  On top of that you have the people who put out like 50 of an item , not in stacks but in singles, so you navigate through the crap. Of course if you are looking for something specific the the search is always good, unless what you are looking for has 50 singles in it too.  I charge for my enchants unless they are low level and you have the mats.  If I have to use my mats to enchant your gear your damn right you are paying

I hardly ever enchant for anyone but guildies and they always tip without me asking. Though if I were to go about giving people rare enchants I would ask atleast 10g
