So all the time i have played warlock I though that Destro warlocks are the coolest ones ever, so I wondered if Destruction is good for PvE too, or too dangerous with 'Searing Pain' ?
Searing Pain causes a high amount of threat, which means you cant use one of your most talented skills.
not a very good idea for pve. it can be done though if you watch your damage. and for the love of god avoid searing pain
I was full destro from 65-70. Carry water by the bushel and dont bother with a VW. Destros upside is that it is instant whoopass, so if you maximize range you can have something pretty dead before it even comes close.

Use shadowbolt or Incinerate (patch 2.4 Emberstorm talent), and a curse (shadows/elements) to max out raid DPS.
Thats if you're in a raid. And for PvE, searing pain is bad (unless you're tanking)
destro is great raidin with 21 demo 40 destro for demon sacrifice, however until you are geared enough to roll destro (usually 3/4 kara epics is good) go felguard (20/41/0) or affliction (45/5/11) but when you are that destro spec, avoid all spells except for sbolt and immolate.
I thought it was the consensus to not use Immolate?
and obviously you need to use Lifetap too, just to clarify. (and soulshatter .etc)
immolate is used if you have 5/5 imp immo, conflagerate is a waste of a point though. it really depends on how you wanna play it.
ok this is how it goes.
for pve the best way to start off is going fill your affliction bracket than w/e points you have left over put in destruction. Once you have a spell hit rating of at least 200 than you want to build your destruction branch and put left overs in affliction. best pve spec
