Hi everybody!

I recently downloaded the cosmos.exe to contribute to Thottbot as good as I can. I really like the idea and wanna thank everyone who contributed in the past!

I installed everything without problems.
This banner thing loads up whenever I start WoW.
Unfortunately I don't see that cosmos.exe is actually doing anything to contribute.
Can't I decide what to upload and what not? How exactly does it work? I don't like being held unknow :-).

Hope you understand what I mean and am grateful for all the help you can provide.

When you run the Thottbot addon it collects data from items/quest/npc/etc that it sees in game. The next time you run cosmos.exe it automatically uploads that data from the previous gaming session.  You will usually see a message saying xxxx bytes uploaded. It is meant to be silent and unobtrusive to the contributor, there isn't really anything to do otherwise.

So every screenshot I see here on Thottbot when I'm reading about a quest for instance was uploaded manually I take it?

I have tried to make a complaint about this, but to no avail. Go to this page and scroll down to the bottom and read my comment. It explains my problem. Also, I have looted a Gazelle 50 times and have uploaded the information to Thottbot, but none of my data has influenced the item data on the mob page at all. In fact, the number of loots remains at 190, no matter how many times I upload. Apparently, my data is not actually recorded on this site. I don't need to be credited for my work, but I at least like to know that the time it took to successfully install the patch was worthwhile. I actually want to make the databases on this site more complete, and I hope that they can fix this bug so that I can start helping.

Thottbot doesn't update the site with the information as soon as it is uploaded.
