the only sucky part about shammys is they have no CC but magma and thats hardly effective, and the whole not being able to use the elementals in arenas is pathetic on blizzards part.

I am an enhancement shaman, and I HAVE to say Blizzard, I DID NOT like how people can just do pvp for a year and get mad gear. This gear should not be wrecklessly handed out to no skilled noobs. I understand that people hate the resilience, but IF people worked for it for at least a year like before TBC, then I would most definitely be fine with this. There are TOO MANY PEOPLE with gladiater gear.

2 reaons that shaman was so good. This bas pre-BC, the "shaman era". Shaman were rediculously OP, due to the fact windfury can proc off of windfury. Also of course, he had no life. Blizz's goal with handing out glad gear is to make the game more accessable to the casual player. Pre BC getting really good gear meant spending hours of time raiding, and some people didnt have the solid block of time required for a raid. To the above poster, would you rather only hardcore players that have 10+ hours to devote to WoW on a daily basis have good gear? Should everyone else just suck at top level because they're outside life interferes with their ability to get good gear? Just because you cant run around one shotting other players of equal level anymore makes you quit playing? I guess equally, or even barely sufficient geared players scare you.
They dont suck maybe U suck at it......blizzard made the game so that there isnt a "BEST" class...it depends on the style that you like playing the game
Can shammys drop only one totem at a time or can they drop more than one. I am a lvl 10 and I drop stoneskin and try to drop the earthbinding and it takes stoneskin away is that supposed to happen?
eh dude the one that said is the totem one come up and go away when u put another yeh it is suppose to happen cause they both use the earth totem thingo but if u get say searing totem using the fire one u keep in backpack thats when u do to meaning u need 2 different kinds of pickup totems to cast diferent totems at same time
Unfortunately it's true that Shaman (Shamans?) suck now because they can't CC anybody. Just wait for WotLK and maybe (MAYBE) it will be better. This is coming from a person who doesn't play a Shaman much, so no bias here.
I think all comments criticising shamans because of lack of crowd control should be qualified. My opinion is that this is only an issue in PVP. In PVE groups, this is a non-issue. If all other classes have CC then only a group with nothing but shamans would lack cc. You don't see this very often. Instead, you see groups where a shaman is protecting squishies, dealing considerable damage and healing as needed. In my opinion, the shaman is better in groups than druids, the other main hybrid. Shamans can play various roles at the same time, and adjust fluidly. A druid can choose the best role for the job, but is commited to sticking with that role.
