Can you use ur flying mount in this knew place?

By "knew" I assume you mean "new" place.
from what I've been told, and from what I think,
I believe that the flying mount won't be used in
this "new place". but then again, I could be wrong.

If you can't what's the point of spending the thousands of gold when you hit 70? I think it would be insulting to have to put your flying mount in the bank to just wither and fester from boredom while you wear the legs of your lvl 60 (or even 40!) mount down to stumps.

I would have to agree.  You bust your hump to finally obtain this phenomenal mode of transportation just to go back to the ground.

IIRC, you cannot because Blizzard wants people to actually explore the terrain of Northrend and all the effort they put into it.  However, i think there should be a quest or something to complete so that you could use one after you have completed X amount of content in Northrend

Yes, the flying mounts WILL be available in Northrend. But ive heard the might only alow them at lvl 80.

Should be that you have to get exalted with a new faction in Northrend, or L80

the flying mounts are definitely going to be available in the new continent.
they will be available after u do a q or smth at lvl 80; furthermore u will have diffrent kind of mounts that will need the same riding skill.
Thus u will be able to use flying mounts on lvl 80, if u buy another mount

i believe that from what bliz has done i think that they may not allow flying mounts on the new continent heres some reasons why...
1) it is considered part of azeroth and the way to this area goes thru an instance type portal you were able to go out the dark portal on a mount but i believe thats been patched

2) in the Burning Crusade outlands was the only area allowed to the use of flying mounts they may keep it that way cause thats one of the few areas you can get to level 70

3) they would have to go thru everything and create a new mount specific to that area... i.e BC nether ray for outlands dragons

The reason why you can't fly in Azeroth is the XYZ co-ords where never setup by Blizzard in the first place.  Furthermore, it would be too expensive to re-do all the old world places when it's really an area is for character leveling.

Far as i can tell we are all just guessing, so  i guess its best we wait and see or continue to speculate about something we are clueless about. we are all probably hardcore wow players and have access to the same info on the expansion, and if anyone had solid info aobut the mounts it would be posted on every website and blog for bc to azeroth.

i am pretty sure the mount is going to be available:
1) i saw an interview where a blizz guy said that they are thinking of a method for introducing flying mounts in northrend (only, not the hole azeroth)- they aready said that it i 2 expensive to remake azeroth for flying mounts
2)it is not likely for blizz to do retarded things like asking u to spend 5k gold and right after tell u that was pointless

Flying mounts will be able to be used in Northrend, its just that you cant use them till your lvl eighty, it will be like in BC, where you got your flying mount at 70 this time though youll have to get back on the land mount and go until eighty and then you will be able to take to the sky...again..

you will probably get fatigue if you try to fly to other parts of azeroth.

You gotta buy NEW Riding skill and think that is going to cost 7000G or 5000G so all Epic Mount Owners START GRIND!

Go search "Wrath of the Lich King" on WoWikki. It says that you can use flying mounts there at 78. Whether or not it will cost more money or require a new skill is beyond me.

The catch is that a lot of the area is flying only with air sentry which means you will need the new mounts (siege mounts) to get through

Idk if this is true but you may have to get the epic flying training to get the siege mount training which i believe will probaly be easy because lvl 80 grays will be worth like 5g each to vendors and greens probaly 20g+

noone's brought up the point that if you have to wait until 78 to get a new flyer, perhaps we'll be offered a new land mount that's a bit quicker than our 100%. Hmm?  Perhaps only usable in the new area. But if they're smart, usuable everywhere.

I do agree with last post because it would be fair to increase speed of ground mounts so u can get to lvl 80 but the new special ground mount will shourly be made "Cannoy use aoutside nothrend".

at least when we hit 80 the ZA timed event will be easy and we can all have amani war bears. yay

okay i saw a video on youtube that says that you can't use your flyer when you get there but at lvl 78 you can do a quest to unlock that priviledge

look. when blizz came up with the idea of Burning crusade they made outlands and designed the graphics of outlands to show flying mounts..

so when they  make wrath of the lick king they will do the same to northrend get it?

Apparently at level 77 you will be able to use your Epiccally epic flyer you spent 6 months farming the gold for, But also, Amani war bears are apparently going to stop dropping.  Those who have them will be able to continue using them but no others will drop.

Ik watched a video interveiw and the guy said you can do aquest at level 77 to enable your flying mount in NR

if we have to use our legs again (or those of our lvl 60 mount???) then surely Blizzard will allow a new land mount for use here. maybe with extra speed. How about Winged horses or tigers, or even  dragons, who run +200% speed, and then at lvl 80 they can 'learn' to use their wings???

You will be able to use your flying mounts in northrend, but you will only be able to use them after you have leveled to the top of the 70 bracket (probably 77 or 78).  I believe the only reason is for that is so that 70s can't go just anywhere only because they have a flying mount, so that it is like a new place where you have to work to see the new places and people.

Yes you can, my friend from blizzard just told me, you will be able to use it, and they ARE remapping azeroth, its just a matter of time now, but no you cant use them until level 77, and its a because they want you to use the new continent to its full potential.

Are we really that impatient that we can't just use a 100% ground mount until a certain point?

Blizzard wants us to enjoy the work they put into the new areas, not just fly over them.

i think at like lvl 70 it wouldn't make sense because people could easily skip through quest with ease with out any problems i mean at 70 i just fly around till i find my enemy pop off mount and own him grab loot and fly away i mean if they did that at northrend at the very beginning then i would be pissed but at lvl 80 where it doesn't really matter i would understand

You can use your Flying mount when you reach lvl 78, that is what I heard..

Yes, and as a matter of fact, it's highly speculated that you can fight on them. A trailer has been shown with people flying around and shooting eachother.
