Guys, i have started to make a 19 shammy,as you may have read on another post. she is called 'Shokkd' is on zenedar, and is gonna be uber xD, although i prob won't do enchants for a while, as i am still finishing my twink warlock, 'drpwn' also on zenedar. she is alli (draenei) btw =P, and drpwn is a gnome <3
she is gonna have :
head - belf bandit mask (maybe goggles)
neck - WSG
shoulder - serpent's shoulders
cape - glowing lizardscale cape
chest - armor of the fang
shirt - any
tabard - guild / WSG
bracers - wrangler's wristbands of nature wrath
gloves - gloves of the fang
belt - belt of the fang
legs - leggings of the fang
feet - footpads of the fang
rings - both WSG ones
trinkets - insignia of the alliance / maybe engineering one
weapon - stinging viper
shield - kresh's back
as you may have guessed, i am going to go to wailing caverns an awful lot =P, and also the thunder lizards in the barrens have joined highest drop rate for the bracers, with some guy in thousand needles, so basically, i dont need to go out of the barrens xD
i know i will get a LOT of posts sayong 'dude, why are u twinking at lvl 19? go to lvl 29 or 49, they are much better', but just know this, i don't want to! xD i wanna be lvl 19 =P

Edit: What are your choices for talents? I'm thinking about 5 in Shield Specialisation and 5 in Thundering Strikes.
yes, i have used those talents.
my shaman currently has 989 health, and will soon have over 1K health when i get the WSG rings and neck. it is great gear if you dont want to spend a fortune getting clefthide and everything, and i do tonnes of damage ^^
overall, very good gear.
P.S the increased mana talent would also be good, as you will run out of mana in a long fight
oh, i have also dropped glowing lizardscale cape for sporid cape, kresh's back for arctic buckler, and the wristbanks for forest leather bracers.
For all of you thinking of making a 19 twink shammy...don't, I highly suggest you consider teh 29 bracket....you will dominate as a shaman. Getting to 29 is almost as easy as lvling to 19, plus with all the new instances, esp Razorfen kraul...which drops some awesome stuff for shammys such as the 2h axe corpsemaker, the 1h priest mace...which still has some real good dps for a 1h, 21.1 dps i think, and + healing stats, the marbled buckler shield off the RFK quest...gives u +5 to str,stam,int,spirit, AND and AWESOME headpiece from the rare spawn eartcaller hamlgar or something.....its a sweeeeeet leather headpece with +to spell dmg/heals, check it out on thottbot.....ALSO the main reason u will do much better and be much more useful and versatile in 29 bracket is frost shock and ghostwolf, u can be real good at rushing for flag, just grab earthbind and gw the hell outta there....and on the defensive frost shock/earthbind are awesome at catching enemy flag carrier. Forget 19, we have no good moves or talent specs that would bring any fun/help to the bg.
Alrighty...Let me say Shamans make the best lvl 39 twinks. 1 because shaman talents suck no matter what combo you use for 19. My main is a shaman so dont try to argue with that. Yay you will get improved ghost wolf to be a flag runner. But other then that...thats all you got man. If your wanting so badly to twink a toon for the 19 bracket the 4 best classes to twink at 19 are, Rogues (number 1 at 19 bracket), Huntard, Druid, and warlock. Twinks are not just overly geared toons. Its Over geared toons which take advantage of that lvl cap to make that toon become over powered to all other people on the battle field. At lvl 19 not many people can hadle stealth, fear, or a pet. There class is not yet defined enough and given the right tools at that lvl to handle those things. Shamans pre lvl 30 just suck....its the truth I remember the first 30 lvls and up until I got Wind fury it just plain sucked.
Also your forgetting in your list all your trinkets and also lvl fishing and to the tourny for fishing for the hat...the huge stam buff it gives ontop of it being levelless means you can have your lvl 70 friend put a high class head enhancment on it.
But seriously look for another class to twink at 19...Shaman twink at 19 is one of the most under powered classes at that lvl range.
shamans don't really suck below lvl 39. they are just not as powerful. when i was lvlin up my shami i took time in the lvl 29 bracket to do some wsg. it was realy easy to get at the top of the score board almost every time on dmg KB and Hk. shamis realy arn't that great at lvl 19 though.
If u have full fang u can pretty much keep it untill mid 30s. I had my full fang untill i was lvl 39 for mail and still did awsome in it.
what about the deviate scale belt v. the fang belt? do you lose that much on the set drop?
lol, i have dropped belf bandit mask for green tinted and a cpl of other stuff...and now i have 1129 health, and will soon be getting clefthide. and i can tell you, shammys at 19 DO NOT suck xD. they are one of te few classes who can beat huntards, and totems are pwnzor in battlegrounds.
I would say that shamans are the best lvl 19 twinks cause of there totems xD

So far, every comment I've read here is retarded! WTF ARE U THINKING GETTING FANG GEAR? MORE IMPORTANTLY... A 19 TWINK SHAMMY? I've got a 19 twink mage Asherils on Maelstrom http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Maelstrom&n=Asherils... first of all, without enchants ur NOTHING, NOTHING, absolutely NOTHINGG! my twink isnt even complete and I've got 1200 health, and im a freaking mage, i expect to reach 1400 when i get runic spellthread and my libram of constituiton, my fireball hits for 400 and im always on top of list. You can't twink w/o a main. So you people saying this is my first toon, UR PATHETIC! I'm really at a loss of words, heres all i have to say, u may just spend all ur time at level 19 but it doesnt mean ur a twink!
Off topic, but in my experience as a shaman in WSG, I find shaman's are competitive. I find Shock to be the most useful spell, even including totems. You can cast it while running (and you'll be doing a lot of that), it interrupts and silences casters for a bit, and packs a good punch, if you've geared up with +nature damage like I did. As for totems, I find I use stonebind a lot. There's a lot of quick and deadly rogues in 19 battlegrounds, and they like to jump around a lot to get those backstabs, so anything you can do to slow them down... Finally, know your role: caster killer. Shocks not only allow you to break casting, they allow you to kill casters without having to get within Frost Nova range. Several druids have rooted me, and then attempted a ranged kill forgetting to get out of shock range. Purge eliminates shields, demon armour, frost armour, etc. Fear's a problem, though. I read that tremor totem can help, but I have yet to time it right. To survive long enough to kill some casters, though, I recommend investing in some high stamina gear. You can't go toe-to-toe with a rogue, but if you have enough health you should be able to drop a stonebind and get some distance between you and he/she. Even more off-topic, I think there should be more twink warriors in the BGs. We rarely have a warrior, but 4 times out of 5, when we do, we win. Their high armour and health really seems to frustrate the rogues, accustomed to quick kills.

Head: Currently Green goggles, waiting for fishing hat and libram
Neck: Scouts Medallion
Chest: Inferno robe with +6 all stats(probably) or 150 HP chant
Belt: screechers belt
Hands: +4 stam/+4 intel if I can find em with spell dmg enchant
Legs: +5 stam/+5 intel with Nethercleft leg armor
Feet: Fishing boots with stamina enchant
Bracers: +3 int/+3 stam
Shield: Arctic buckler with Felsteel spike
Weapon: Evocator's blade probably with +22 intel chant
Shoulders: talbar mantle
You run around throwing down earthbind, seering totem or fire nova depending on the situation, get away. As you are running towards or away from people you flame shock em. Only if you see them casting do you earthshock. Ur + fire dmg if you do the elemental speck for enhanced shocks, fire totems, and enhanced earthbind, don't waste your mana on earthshocks unless you are waiting on a cooldown for flame or u see them casting.
Then, as usually one of the most important things for 19 twink shammies (especially against priests and paladins) purge purge purge purge purge. I love seeing my enemies bubble up only to lose it 2 seconds later HAHAHAHA!
I was using flame shock (and still do especially on rogues) but was running up against a lot of resistances. Seems toons are more likely to have fire resistance than nature. At least in 19 BGs. As well, I specifically target casters. Agreed on the purge. Has a great range. Priests must hate shamans. Only wish purge was more effective against paladins. I almost never heal, so I rarely run low on mana. Because of that I went for STA over INT.
i got a melee dps twink shammy, i agree they may fall behind other twinks at some things, however they are so much fun to play and quite rare in the 10-19 bracket so you wont just be another twink rouge. check him out:

Im a lvl 19 shaman, i got some newb resto gear 400 hp and 1k mana. 44 healing bonus.
U freaky twink could easily come up on 1 k hp and 1,5k mana and around 200 healing bonus. I heal for 300 hp, and i can easily heal a twink while he kills 2 other. Only problem i have its when they get on me XD Im finished at that point. So dont get cloths but leather and a good shield. Trust me, its fun to play and you gonna be loved by the rogues and hunters. :D

i was kinda noobish with 19 twink shaman when i wrote the post. i am better now with 1439 health, 711 mana and 144 AP. (i can choose between AP and spell dmg with [Demon Band] or [Lorekeeper's Ring]) my gear is as follows:-
Head - Green tinted goggles___no chant (i plan on getting Lucky fishing hat at some point with mana/health on it).
Neck - Sentinel's medallion.
Shoulder - Serpent's shoulders. (I realise at this point that i should have gone for talbar mantle)
Cape - Sporid cape___+3 agility
Chest - Armor of the fang___+100 health
Bracers - Bantit bracers of nature's wrath (+6 nature spell dmg)__+7 stamina
Gloves - Glovesw of the fang___+5 strength
Belt - Belt of the fang
Legs - Scouting trousers of the eagle (+5 sta +5 int)___Clefthide leg armor
feet - Footpads of the fang - +7 stamina
ring 1 - Demon Band / lorekeeper's ring
ring 2 - protector's band
Trinket 1 - Insignia of the alliance
Trinket 2 - None
1h Weapon - Stinging Viper___Crusader
Shield - Arctic buckler___+7 sta (i might be getting redbeard crest due to the +strenght on it)
i dont get where all the crap about 'Why get the fang set' is coming from, IT GIVES NATURE SPELL DMG. I AM A SHAMAN. also, it all gives stamina/agi/str. Srmor of the fang is better for me then blackened defias armor. i dont get AP from agi, and AOTF gives strength, which i need.
