hey, im new to this herb thing, whats the best place to level it up and find herbs that i am allowed to pick? im only a 3 and have had a hard time finding any

It would be easier to tell you if we knew your race and starting place.

I have a hunter at lvl 300 my best gathering was during my quests. Thats when you find out what/where they are and what you can harvest.

You will learn that things like silverleaf is always by a tree. earthroot and goldthorn almost always on a hill or cliff edge.

When you mouse over on an herb it is just like anything else. If the "requires herbalism" under the herbs name is grey is not going to lvl your herbalism up any. ect ect....

try www.mapwow.com for locations of specific herbs.

One last thing!!! don't get killed for ANY herbs. IE don't try Swamp of Sorrows at lvl 20 for blindweed and meet the lvl 55 elite dragon.

get cartographer its an add on at curse.com i consider it to be the BEST add on in game along w/ some healing mods easy to figure out where to farm just take your herbing lvl (or ne farming prof) and divide it by 5 so if you have 300 herbing 300/5=60 ...so lvl 60 areas EPL outland common knowledge kinda.

hi im at level 90 on my herbalism proffesion and i cant get it highe. can sum1 tell me how to do it.

pick other herbs, if its red labelled when you scroll over it, then you can't pick it, if its orange, it will take a few tries but yes you can pick it, gives skill points.  you get skill points for green but you have to pick more for the points.  you get no points for anything grey.

i found that when i was at 90 i went to westfall and started north on the shore/hill line and moved south......did that twice and got my skill up 20 points

No this is not because of the herbs you are gathering. The reason your level is not rising is because you need to train the next Herbalism level. Go to the herbalism trainer and learn the next step called journeyman hebalism.

turn on ur herb tracker, pick herbs while u are lvln to make it easy

a good place to start herb lvling is stormwind...there is a lot of noobie herbs there to pick
