what lvl is needed to fish in booty bay?

You can probably do ok at 150fishing. Definitely use Night Crawlers. You can buy them in booty bay where the advanced fishing book is sold for about 90copper each. Obviously you can get plenty in Duskwood killing Plague speaders or similar foe.

Get very good at panning your camera view behind you while fishing. The horde are cowards any love to attack when you're most vulnerable. Be able to switch back to your weapons FAST. I've had horde try to attack me.

Thats only because you hide and pick on people with lower levels than you, you coward!

if you're not on a pvp realm and not flagged for pvp, you don't need to worry about cowardly members of opposite factions, but you should be prepared for mobs if you're in a highly populated area.

a peaceful place that i've found is just south of booty bay, off the docks,  also up in the northwest corner of the zone where it meets westfall.  no mobs, no players, although near booty bay, you will occasionally get some players.

fishing is supposed to be relaxing.  try to find places that are just that.  >:}

Pretty nice comment considering I have never been attacked from the front by an alliance whether fishing or questing.

LOL the only time i haven't been attacked by an ally is when they are the same level as me or lower or they don't have a level 70 friend currently online to cry to for back-up.. :p

Fishing is annoying but it helps ur cooking and pays off when u get to a high level

That's funny, because my 40 blood elf was absolutely destroyed last night by a fully geared 70 while fishing. Was really frustrating.

u think u got problems, i was killed by a pally with a fishing rod. he was 70 and i was fishing for deviate in same are but i was only lvl 40

To the jackass horde rogue who decided to kill me while fishing last night - get a life, dude. Not only did you sneak up behind me and kill me, you decided to stealth in the trees behind my corpse and wait for me to come back. And then when I had enough and just resurrected at the spirit healer, and began fishing the river... you actually had the drive to track me down and kill me again. You're a coward.

How is he a coward? This is coming form someone who spirit resurrected? Being a horde rogue my self... These are the things we got off on. Congratz on your Epic Fail, now stop whining.

Alright guys,  I know it really sux to get ganked by higher lev players from the opposite faction while fishing but, you have to realize that this kind of behavoir is going to happen and there's nothing you can do about it.  I myself have been ganked numerous times while trying to fish to build my skill up.  It doesn't bother me much because I knew the consequences of playing on a PVP server.  This goes for anyone, (weather fising or not) if you really have a problem with being ganked by players of the opposite faction, then I suggest you switch realms to a PVE server.  I know it's really frustrating getting ganked by 70's  but this is why Blizzard has PVE servers availble for players who prefer that kind of playing experience.

Amen... I play my allys on Fenris (PvE) and my Horde on Malorne (PvP) and take great joy in ganking, as I have been ganked numerous times and am well aware that whenever an ally has the opportunity, they will crush me.
However, I do draw the line at corpse camping, as it goes beyond the "haha I got you" and messes up someone else's gameplay experience.
That said, fishing and mining without panning the camera constantly (you get sick of it) is just asking for it, especially around competitive fishing/mining nodes and areas.
